Post some prototype pics and watch specs. We love that around here.

And maybe tweak your logo a touch. At first glance I thought it said treson and my brain went to treason 😂

·

Thank you!!! For your comment I do see that now 😆 i definitely will fix it, I appreciate your and any input and I will post the specs and prototype pic or at least drawings in days to come!!!

·
  1. Isn't Tresor a perfume?

  2. The second r looks like an n to me.

·

@PoorMansRolex Thank you for your input I really appreciate it and yes tresor is a perfume made by Lancôme, but i picked Trésor because it means treasure and I want a watch that someone can pass down and it will be treasured ,Thank you for telling me about the flaw in my logo desighn I'll fix it I hope you have a great day and hope to see you as a customer one day!!!!!

In a general sense, I think it’s a fantastic style for the logo. I was also misled by the distinction between an “r” and an “n” but I wouldn’t change the logo too much. It looks great.

·

Can't wait, Let's see!!!😎

·

Best of luck, looking forward to the watch.

There was the discussion yesterday about typefaces and logos (and how badly microbrands tend to do them). This has a proper distinction and flair to it while still being simple and legible..

·

Good luck.. and I agree with some comments above.. I clicked the post because my brain processed the logo as “Treason”. Keep posting about your progress..

Tresor is a very famous nightclub and techno label from Berlin. Been active since 1991.

Everything is a techno label, club, public space or an independent music act in Europe. To complete the ouroboros there's a new wave band called Berlin from USA.

Pick any word in English language, put it into Bandcamp search and enjoy.

Thank you for all your comments I appreciate the constructive criticism and support I hope to have some of you fine people as customers one day!!!!

Ok, sure, but Tresor is a huge techno label and nightclub and has been going for over 30 years. You say Tresor to me, and I say techno. I’m not making this up to be an a*hole, I’m literally telling you about a huge brand that already exists.

I’ll shut my face, good luck everyone…

I just checked and they don't use the accent mark😉

I would suggest tailoring the logo to appeal to your biggest prospective market or have a translation for the American market. They do not mind a meaningless word for a logo but balk at words with meaning other than english.

·

It's huge in Europe, that's for sure, but over the years I've met only 2 people from US on the internet who are aware of techno outside of Detroit. (I'm not talking about music forums and music enthusiast community, but rather in other communities).

I give up…

The script "r" versus "n" thing has been confusing West End buyers for 80 years. The watch is a Sowar, but it inevitably described as a "Sowan", even by people who should know better.

Get some trademark advice from a professional who knows before spending money promoting what could be someone else's intellectual property. I once had to defend a fellow who used distinctive fasteners for drum heads. It wound up shutting down production for months.

·

@Aurelian thank you for your advice and I will probably make the r more profound or uppercase

Thank you for your advice I will most definitely see how I can make a logo for American market

I think it is closed for some time now bit yes, iconic club

·

So much talk about logos and names....who REALLY cares? If it's a great watch design at an attractive price with good quality it will sell.

·

I definitely want to make it good quality I was thinking of automatic movement its my favorite or maybe a solar powered option but the movement is half the battle, I want Watch customers happy and pass the watch on to the next generation!!!

could of had a boogie tonight… and the label is still releasing tunes in 2023.

Anyone else want to argue?

·

Good luck! In addition to everything said above, wanted to add that the logo has an art deco vibe to it, possibly due to the double underline. Romantic vintage is what I might expect. Somewhat dressy, but definitely sporty. All based on your typeface and look of the logo.

I thought it was a cursive font F at first. "Freson" is weird sounding.

Can you share the concept of your watch design or your inspiration why you're doing this? Have to differentiate between the many microbrands these days! Sporty vintage steel watches are kimda done IMHO.

·

@Beanhead I appreciate your comment and I was leaning more to a dress watch but first a dive watch due to my occupation I started out as a watch collector and figured out how to fix them and so now I decided why not make them,my goal is to make watches that my customers will enjoy or at least get good quality for price and something that would be wanted to pass down to the next generation, and soon I'll share the concept design!!!

That's awesome. I want to take a watch repair day course for education/fun, but you must have the patience of a saint!

Looking forward to seeing the concept. Best of luck

·

I appreciate your kind words ,I'm looking forward to post them and hope to have you as a customer one day !!!

·

Man, with Omega offering a Tresor line of watches, I’d be incredibly hesitant to use that name. Even if you are within your rights to use it, they have the type of lawyers to make your life miserable if they so desire.

·

Thank you for your comment it help me out and I'll do more research in it and I'll make the call based off that!!!
