Found my wife’s old eco drive in a drawer. It has probably been there 10 years. It took about 4 days on the window sill for it to charge back up but it has been running great since then.
I did it! I changed out the hour and minute hands to a set that actually illuminates at night. I like the trade off of a little daytime readability for effective low light illumination.
I’m sorry to those commenters that feel that a mod to my watch might upend the cosmic balance, but this works for me! 😀
I find that if I settle because of price, the things I don’t love never go away and they will just annoy me more over time. I never find myself saying two years down the road, “Man, I wish I had saved a few dollars two years ago and bought the watch I didn’t like as much as this one.” YMMV and you might not obsess as much over details as I do! 😀
