30 day watch challenge

After I get my WRUW badge, I'm going to do a 30 day watch challenge.  I will wear the same watch for 30 days.  Why?  It will give me a broader appreciation of the watch and I kind of miss being the one watch guy I was before this addiction.  lmao.  I have 60 watches at the moment, so there will be temptation.   Let me know if you will do this one day or if you care to join me, would love company (albeit virtually).

"There will be temption" is an understatement! I do like to wear the same watches for days on end. I usually go for a G shock and a non g and keep them going for a few days. I have no idea how I use to do it when I only had one watch!

So true, this addiction, I mean hobby really changes people.  lol.  Coming to this hobby later in life (turn 58) in June and fell in the Rabbit Hole about 19 months ago, I wore the same watch for almost 20 years.  I think about that guy and I wonder who he was.  lmao!

Good luck with your attempt.

I'll put the over/under at 7.

I always enjoy whenever your post a piece of your collection. Timex was where I started and has such an interesting history as an American icon. Always looking forward to seeing more from you Badger!

I'm already there with you... and I'm almost done 😀. Whenever I get a new watch, I tend to wear it every day for the first month - it lets me decide if I really like it and if it is accurate or not. My newest watch arrived on April 29, so I have a little over a week to go (and I like the watch so far ... it wears well, is versatile, and is keeping time at +2.8 spd 👍).

As a side note relating to wearing the same watch multiple days in a row, I'm also doing some double-wristing with an Apple Watch Series 1 with the silicone post-n-tuck strap that has been on my wrist every day since March 30, 2018 (1411 days) for health reasons. Fortunately, it is without a doubt the most comfortable watch I've ever worn.

Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoy my quirky Timex collection.  It seems like Timex is where most people start due to the long and storied history.  It was one of the reasons why I started, it was the watch I remember my Grandfather and Father wearing almost exclusively. Stay tuned, more to come.  lol

So, are you starting this or what?

So, are you starting this or what?

yes Sir!  June 1st!  I'll do a post when I start.

Hi Folks,

I will start the challenge June 1st.  I will decide on the watch the night before and wear nothing but that watch for 30 days.  Wish me luck!  Of course, it will have to be the honor system, but I swear if I don't do it, I will be upfront.  I mean no money is involved unless you guys want to do a pool amongst yourselves.

I'll post it everyday on WRUW for proof.  lol

Until then, have a great weekend!
