I think the MoonSwatch captured the best of both brands. Omega design, and Swatch affordability and fun.

Do you think that boancpain x swatch didn’t capture the best of both brands, why not

I think a $600 CAD Swatch is not the best of Swatch.

The MoonSwatch at $361 CAD taxes-in was at the upper end of acceptable, I think nearly twice that, before tax, for a Swatch is pushing outside the Swatch sweet spot.

Neither.

I really like them both - especially the examples you chose as pictures!

I’ve voted moonswatch as it was the original and quite a few colourways appeal.

The Blancpain I love love love that it’s more robust and mechanical. Love the look of the movements too with the glass rotor. I don’t like the strap - makes it too thick. And in the originals some of the colours were a bit borderline (but the Sea of Storms is super nice.)

I think the quartz is my main issue with omega swatch. The blancpain are humongous and keep hitting into things. I find for the price I would gladly pay for a Baltic mr01

They are both...meh.

·

They're both ill-advised plastic fantastic watches, cosplaying as something they're not.

So, neither for mine. There's more heart and soul in a cheap Seiko 5 than either of these.

·

My favorite was the one I did not participate in.

·

I say moonswatch because of the upcoming Snoopy. I might reconsider when blancswatch do a collab with Garfield - their colorways are already halfway there, anyway. 😂

·

I think they both were pretty big cash grabs.

Excuse me while I throw up in my mouth a little.

I have one of each and I honestly can’t tell you which one I consider as “better.” I enjoy both of them differently. The Thrifty Fathoms is bolder and more ostentatious and sometimes, that’s exactly what I like and how I dress. The MoonSwatch is a more refined design, just a bit of pop for when I want to dress more simply. In terms of build, the Thrifty Fathoms feels a bit sturdier and I don’t worry too much about it. The movement though will likely have a much shorter lifespan than the quartz in the Moonswatch, which feels a lot more fragile; the crystal can scuff easily and the pushers feel like I can break them if I put my hands in my pocket a little too hard. I end up babying it more when it’s on wrist. They’re both overpriced for what you get yes, but they do offer a whole lot of fun imho.

I actually really like that black blancpain model. I feel that looks most like the original. The swatch X doesn't look like a speedy to me now like an awkward parody.

A little??

A little??

Have been an RN for 34 years. Nothing makes me full-on projectile vomit so the fact this makes me puke "a little" says a great deal. 😂

People going all in for $300-$1K+ for a plastic watch just...
