How many straps is too many?

Was going through organizing all of my watch assessories. I have about three to four straps per watch I wear regularly and laying all of my straps out really made me wonder what is the limit is for straps in a collection. I say there is not limit!

Never can have too many!

You’re in luck!…

I’ve been working hard running all the calculations and have concluded based on the total number of Rolex watches currently in circulation AND the fact that the Moon is at present in a Waxing Gibbous phase that the Total Allowable Straps (TAS) for your jurisdiction is 7,832.

If you feel TAS limit is insufficient, you may appeal to your local authority for an exemption. You will, of course, need to provide the necessary supporting documentation and an affidavit from your spouse/significant-other stating that each strap currently in possession has and will continued to be used. Good luck running the maths on your end! 🍻

Well, the truth is that I never or very rarely change the straps on my watches. Perhaps the one I change straps on the most is the Panerai Luminor or my two Seiko Turtles, of which I have their bracelet and rubber strap, as for the Other watches always have the original strap or bracelet with which they arrived from new.

I'm definitely on the side that there isn't such thing as too many straps. I'm a little strapaholic myself and must sit at around 80-90 straps &bracelets myself

I know the feeling. Straps can be addictive. Especially when you have watches with different lug widths

Too many straps = Heresy, YMMV

Also, if I were to put a number on it, I'd say two Haveston strap rolls, an Ikea plastic shoe bin, a GoRuck shadow pocket full, and almost every single steel bracelet that came with most of my collection =

More than a few......😂🤏🏻🤫😜

I'm going to actually have a straps giveaway for another reason in my channel soon, but still, giving away around 20 straps I'm still ashamed of knowing how many more I still have and want. Someday I will count them, but I have a lot. And I mean... a lot. And want even more. I might have a problem here.

Im more of a strap & bracelet collector, got literally shoe boxes full of them under the bed and a drawer next to the bed.

Mostly all mil-spec NATO's, a aftermarket bracelets, standard bracelets and straps but absolutely no leather or animal products...

Ive probably spent enough on straps over the decades to buy a Tudor 😂😂

I added lots more to those boxes since then, and I just added another 18mm box (now filled to the brim).

And there is me thinking having 13 straps is too many.
