A Vaery wet day here in San Diego.
Brought out the @vaerwatches C5 tactical to the beach.
Probably my favorite field watch so far.
40mm, amazing lume, super legible, solar, 100m water resistance, flat sapphire crystal.
What’s your favorite field watch you would wear daily?

I would say for everyday use my Bertucci Ventara. It is a field watch, but with a more subtle military look.

Man that’s sharp with that strap too. Thanks for the feedback! I’m looking to see what’s out there
Thank you! The strap came off of my Bertucci A-6A, I moved the original green one to my A-2S:

Damn, I gotta look into those. That dial is really clean. How do their wear? Comfortable ?

The case is very comfortable on my 6.75 in wrist. However, the straps take some work to get broken in. They are very stiff at first, but with a little sweat they become very comfortable, takes a couple weeks actually!! Mine are steel, the titanium ones are much lighter. My A-6A is aluminum and very light!
That same one!

Sinn 556. No two ways about it.
If you allow a quartz it has to be my titanium Ray Mears? 300m and ecodrive makes it a tough one!

I'm looking for a good field watch and your Vaer has me very interested! Love the idea of a solar watch.
TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH IT!?

Appreciate the comment! So far it’s been awesome. I have the C3 tactical solar for sale as well. I got both the 36 and 40mm to see which I liked.
They’re both amazing solid watches and super durable. I’ve had mine in the gym and just work around the house and it’s nice not to have to worry about banging it up. It’s super comfy on the silicone bands and I love the blacked out PVD options. I also have the A5 heritage and dirty dozen from Vaer. The A7 tradition is my favorite ( they don’t sell it anymore )
Raven Airfield is my favorite field watch.
This one for me:
Love it! The rare SoCal rain shot - tbh the photo is giving me PTSD of being out surfing in cold stormy winter swell, but otherwise, thanks for the post! 😂
