Yes me 🤣that is, I went for the G-shock and Hamilton, still considering Seiko. That is 2 beautiful watches you show👍my only complaint about Seiko is that the Luminance is too bright if on want to stay hidden in the dark or maybe not?

There is the total Impuls way and a more calculated way for me. The two main factors, in the impulse way, in determining whether to by is my inner feeling about the watch and also my wife’s opinion 😱(the last mentioned factor is still a mystery). To really be sure that the watch elicits the right response in my gut I sometimes have to wait months, and sometimes seconds. In the calculated way I can wait for a long time before I buy. That’s typically expensive watches where I find prices/quality is important and if I buy used - how well did the previous owner take care.
The Formula 1, star Hamilton is promoting IWC and therefore wearing one. It’s tool watches with big easy to read dial. Tast is a personal thing and I honestly don’t find that a big watch looks out of place on a smaller wrist. There movements are not ETA clones or small modifications of said movement. The movements are seriously different from each other, bridges, plates, winding system, fine regulation, escapement, escape wheel, everything is different. As far as I know IWC had a close connection to ETA because they at some point made affordable watches, but I don’t think they use the movement’s.
