Definitely be sure to look at the Super Oceans, Navitimers, and Premier lines. Can get them more reasonably priced through JomaShop compared to boutiques. Good looking watches. To me similar to Tudor, Longines, Tag.
Yep, the boutique had it. Clearly Omega has more readily available watches, and certainly are cool. When I tried the white speedy the week it came out, the manager asked if i wanted him to order me one. I was “afraid” (have to work the wife a bit) to pull the trigger on a 8k watch. But I find Bucherer and Omega boutiques are willing to help me get watches.
I also like the Tudor BB that looks blacked out with the snow white indices for much less as well.
The Polaris seems like a younger brother of the Sub. Probably because it’s easy to read, has a few numbers, and a nice subtle sunbrush black dial. Sun is just iconic. I would take either and wear proudly.
Where the common regret comes in is when you buy a substitute for the watch you really want to buy. People hate on Rolex because they feel they can’t get them. Rolex no doubt is the most popular brand, and was tough to get during the “boom” a few years back. Datejusts, DayDates, OP’s are becoming easier to get at an AD. Yeah, Pepsi’s and Subs are harder, but if you really show the interest to an AD, they will get you one. Maybe 5months to 2 years. I personally buy watches under $10k. Got my Datejust Wimbledon, and now waiting to get a white speedy when my wife lets me 😀. Get what you want, don’t settle or substitute. It will make the end experience so much better. You will get it.
First off, that Presage is a great color. I have one of the smokey brown dials. For me, it’s actually easier to read the stick indices than the numbers. Many times on watches the numbers, because of the different shapes is a bit harder for me, kind of scrambles my eyes.
