Hopeless and hopeful
Hello, my name is Steve and I’m a watch addict. My addiction started 20 years ago, and recently have been buying more and more watches since my kids have now grown, and now cost me less 😀.
Had the itch today, went to Tourneau Bucherer, Omega and Tag Heuer. Didn’t buy anything, because I hate paying retail…except for Rolex. Was hoping to see Tudor with their new references but they didn’t get their allotment yet. Was hoping to maybe see the pink dial, no dice. Omega didn’t have the “Whitey” Speedmaster…the one I tried on sold. And Tag finally got the Skipper and Porsche 911. Out of the two hours I spent in total, I walked away thinking about Tag the most. That $10k Porsche. 42mm, stunning. I must be crazy. Thinking if I sell my Black Bay, that may add $1500 to the cause. Then I said, $10k for a Tag.

I can relate to your puppy’s face when the watch itch comes up. I just did a trade out of three watches to get another one. I should have been satisfied since I got a watch delievered yesterday. 😅

I think the TH Carerra chronosprint x Porsche is drop dead gorgeous. Unfortunately i cannot pull off anything bigger than 40mm.

Well, they say you can’t put a price on happiness. If a new watch keeps your heart skipping and your spirits high (and large, muscular “collection agent” won’t l come visit) pull the trigger. Watches are intoxicating, but most people can drive safe when wearing one.

I own one Tag. I bought it brand new in 1993. (Yes, I said that correctly.) Still runs perfectly today. It's been a great watch.
I don't know how Tag fell out of favor with industry. The Nickelback of watches? Or, is that reserved for Hublot?
Anyway, I love the new models. The Night Driver Monaco is pure fire! Crazy cool.

My grandfather had a Tag which went to another family member. #tagheuer will always have a special place in my heart though!
Selling a blackbay for 1500 is the craziest part. Keep the tudor and the porsche design is overpriced
