Protective tape

Anyone like me that leaves the tape on the clasps so they don’t scratch?  I know there are companies out there that make protective tape specific to brand models.  Curious on your thoughts.

I'm retired no desk diving here lol

I see they make protective clear sheet guards for the high models. It's custom cut for your watch.

WTF has happened to this hobby??

WEAR THE DAMNED WATCHES!!!!

I can't decide which I care less about scratching, the clasp or the case back.

Sorry, but this reminds me of that old trope of granny having vinyl covers on the furniture because she didn't feel that anyone should enjoy the actual product, but rather that it should look as cheap and tacky as possible while being uncomfortable to boot.

I know.  First nice watch though.  BB58 blue steel.  And I won’t take in the pool or shower.

As someone who would purchase the watch from you, I would be very glad. And after purchasing I would instantly remove them.

But if you would be a friend of mine, I would grab you on your collar, shake you, slap you abd ask you "What the hell are you doing?" 😉

Honestly, I mean this as a  friendly advice. This looks ridiculous. If you are buying a high priced watch only to collect, keep and to resell an unpacked with big win. Than it would make kind if sense. But please do yourself a favor and don't walk around with it.

Congratulations on your BB58. You’ve picked up a good watch there and you should be proud to wear it. (It will be absolutely fine in the pool by the way) 😁

I’m with the rest of the guys here. Watches will pickup scratches over time, but it’s part of the character that builds up over time and realistically if you are somewhat careful you won’t pick up too many on the case & bezel. Bracelets will scratch the easiest and if that is something that worries you, you can always swap to a NATO.

Theres a product I came across recently called Liquid Skin which is supposed to help limit scratches. I can’t imagine it will help against heavy contact, but if you’re really concerned it could be worth checking out.

Good luck and enjoy that BB58 !!!
