Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
My mother bought me a Casio because I was constantly late to school.

Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Almost; I nearly bought a watch that allegedly belonged to Sinatra. Provenance wasn’t necessarily as clear cut as was being made out, and whilst it was beautiful the asking price was inflated without real evidence.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Buy what you like, and keep it simple. Enjoy what you own, and take the time to get to know a watch.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Vertex and Timor have relaunched. Vero divers. Kuoe Kyoto do awesome affordable classic field watches. Dan Henry 1945 is the coolest chronograph out there right now as it’s an homage to the Jardur Bezelmeter 960. Citizen NJ0150-81 series are seriously good value.
