Your travel rig? case, box, roll, etc.

I am curious to see and hear about what you use to carry multiple watches when you travel. My schedule has me away for 4 days and home for 3 every week. Currently I travel with three watches. Usually one on the wrist and 2 in the bag, usually tucked into socks. Ideally I would like to travel with a 4-5 watches (Thanks WRUW lol) one on the wrist and toting 3 or 4 others in a proper watch carrier. I don't have to fly, so I prefer compact over something bulky that can stand up to Delta baggage handlers.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions in what to look at or what to avoid.

Socks because they work and will not be seen by anyone other than a searching border guard.

These are well made and you can get them in various places with various brands (they all seem to use the same manufacturer). They are much better than the ones you get from Wolf but not as good as Bosphorus. Little hack, add it to an Etsy watch list and he will send you a discount code.

Travel rig???

50 years collecting and 20 years on forums and it's the first time I've heard that one!

If going away for a few days I take what's on my wrist.

The hobby is home based for me.

I hear ya but I go away for a few days every week and like to mix it up.

I’ve packed a dress watch and worn a GMT watch once to a trip where I’ve needed to work then fly out to a funeral right after. I should have just taken a dress watch because it’s not that hard to add a couple of hours or subtract a couple hours to know what the home town time is.

I wouldn't bring just one watch on an extended trip anymore than I'd bring just one pair of pants. Dress watch, tool watch and something funky. Don't let anybody brow beat you into forgetting that it's your wrist, your rules. Someone boasting of doing something for 50 years without a compelling reason for doing so reminds me of "i've just always done it that way" combined with "I use to walk to school through ten miles of snow after milking all the cows". Who cares? Anybody that does anything other than encouraging you to be true to yourself is worth ignoring. Have fun with your hobby and have fun choosing one of the many "travel rigs" available out there.

I was given this roll made by Brew a few months ago. I like it.

I bought a 3 watch roll from smith & rowe website a few weeks ago. I can vouch for the quality and service they provide. Also good selection of colours available at a reasonable price.

That´s an excellent idea which never came to my mind!

Uncle Straps leather travel case. Feels like good quality especially for the price. Comes in two sizes and other outside colors.

Small pouch (similar to the above post) for alternate bands to switch up look. One versatile watch always on my wrist or in pouch right next to my pillow. I don't want to tempt fate unless I'm going to parts of Asia where crime is incredibly low or if I'm in a place that is more of a controlled environment where I know people well.

Yeah, I used to believe that I NEEDED a GMT for travel haha. The lies we tell ourselves in this hobby.

Years ago (HS/college days) I worked at a Country Club and bought a very nice leather 'jewelry' pouch that their golf shop sold so that golfers could put their nice Rolexes and such in a protected bag whilst they golfed. I use several slinky sunglass bags for individual watches and then put them in this nice leather bag. Travels quite well, doesn't attract attention.

I’m similar. One on the wrist, and 2 in the bag. I use a ROTHWELL 2 Watch Travel Case Storage Organizer for 2 Watches. Also has space for cuff links, pins, tie bars, collar stays, etc. I can’t find a photo of it, but I’m sure you can search it and find it on Amazon or eBay.

I have and use several of the Mirage watch rolls. They're quite handy, good quality for the money, and have a nice padded interior, with separate slots for the watches. They come in various colors and materials.

Side note, OP started “one on the wrist, 2 in the bag”. Can’t take credit for that one. :)

Found my solution on the amazons... 25 smackeroos low key and functional. Once it arrives I'll do a proper review if anyone is interested.
