Hello fellow watch lovers! Do any of you build your wardrobe/attire around the watches you wear or am I the only nut job that does? ๐ค
Sometimes I pair my leather accessories, so shoes, belt, and watch strap match. Other times I pair the color of the watch dial with the color of clothing I wear, so shirt/jacket/socks.
What do you do? Curious what others are doing...

I usually do it the other way around. I pick the outfit first and pair the watch and the strap to the outfit of the day.
Love your dressing. Ton sur ton ๐ฅฐ
Yes, very much so, every workday. Socks, shoes, belts, watches, all complete certain outfits that I commonly wear.
Depends completely on the days expected activities.
If it's canoeing, paintball, or the demolition/firearms range, prolly not bringing my Vostok Retro handwind on the alligator. ๐ค๐ป
However, if I'm taking the wife out on date night, or family pictures, wedding, formal events, I will tailor the watch and strap to compliment my attire.
Or I'll use the watch/strap combo, along with pocket square/lapel of the jacket worn, to be the "pop" of color.
Sometimes I match my outfit to the watch, sometimes the other way around. Depends on my mood ๐
Sometimes I match my outfit to my watch, sometimes I match my watch to my outfit. But yes, I usually match based on colors.
I donโt buy clothes with my watches in mind. However, for work (a business casual environment) I do try and match at least the watch strap to shoes and belt.
Almost always.
I'm absolutely that nutjob. The watch makes the outfit, although sometimes it does go the other direction
I donโt try, but if the strap or dial matches my outfit I feel pretty dang cool the ready of the day ๐
All the time
I do it the opposite way, selecting first my outfit, but I believe itโs even better the way you do it ๐ Beautiful watch
Definitely!๐ BTW thatโs a seiko Negroni. Even though it has a red dial, most of the time the watch looks brown from afar.โบ๏ธ
Naw, lots of us do it. Sometimes the watch is first, sometimes it comes second.
I also love changing the strap to black to match my RayBan ๐
I do. Well my wife does it for me when I'm speaking at schools or events for unfortunate and obvious reasons. She loves it and keeps the "fits" rotating on a color and seasonal basis.
Yup
I try not to wear clashing colors or styles and if the watch also match the outfit then it's for the best.
Leathers always match and metals always match๐ซก
Sick look
Tank is classy and gorgeous, monk straps too? Good taste lad! Belt matches perfectly too and seems to be really good quality, your fit is awesome!

Thank you kind sir! ๐
Almost all my watches have an attire built around their dial or strap colors - sometimes its the other way around with suit or pocket squares controlling the watch for that day

Sure, when wearing the suit I usually pair strap, belt and shoes. And dial with shirt too but not so strict. For casual wear not at all, just pick up the clothes and watch that speaks to me that day
