Let me try an experiment. This is my new to me Cyma something or other with the 234 movement. Watches didn't really have names back then and if this one did, the sands of time have certainly devoured it. This is where you come in, WC. I didn't want to make this a poll as any and all (appropriate) responses are welcome. The comment with the most "bullseye" (🎯) reactions wins. I'll crown the winner and Christen my watch tomorrow afternoon or maybe on Sunday.
P.S. the watch is now on an awesome olive NATO that actually fits. The strap arrived today and I was busy, so I have no pictures of it. I'll add some when I'm rested and have greater intellectual acuity than a squid. My brain is ever so slightly fried at the moment.
This account is verified. WatchCrunch has confirmed that this account is the authentic presence for this person or brand.
I never forbode myself from participating, so here's my one and only entry in a vain attempt to name my own watch: "Cyma Sphincter" which is a reference to the Lancet in Pulp Fiction, which was of a vaguely similar design.
Howard
Howard
I really like this. Howard was my maternal grandfather's name.
Cyma Intrepid
Pixie
Fried Squid? Lol jk
Cyma Sectoranté
Vintage watches usually have dead lume and sometimes the relume looks off for an old watch
Older watch with lots of life experience and wisdom and green light sabers.
“Yoda”, call this watch, I do

Slightly off topic
I don't know why but Dracula comes up in my head. The Cyma Dracula.
Pacman
Watchy McWatchface. (For non UK crunchers look up Boaty McBoatface)

Simon the Cyma lol
Cyma sounds like it's written in Cyrillic, so using a Slavic accent try something like Igor
Cymaltaneous O
War Boss Duane........ black Diamond,WA. 98010 usa
Call it half-life because it looks about 100 years old and those hands look hella radioactive 😂
241? 214 right?
My error was even worse. It's actually the 234 movement.
Pixie
I was also getting a woodland fae vibe with those highlights on a dappled bark-like patina and was thinking 'green fairy'
... which led me to 'absinthe' or perhaps more properly: 'Absinthia'
Look at those hands! It has to be “Skywalker”.
The Cyma « Apple pie », though don’t ask me why 😂

Goodness me. Remind me to never let you buy my lottery tickets. The 234 was used in their WWW, and has a unique regulating mechanism.
Cyma Chernobyl with that green lume.

Unfortunately mine is of a seemingly lower grade. It has fewer jewels and the cool regulating system is absent in favour of a more basic system.

Are you sure it’s a true 234? Could it be that it was and it’s been cannibalised with a 214/6, 3xx or a 4xx?

I'll have a look when I get home. Removing the balance will give me a better look.
I won't be too surprised is it is cannibalised however.

That would be “Suma” in Latin script. Coincidentally that rhymes with how the name should be pronounced
Maybe “Cuma”, as a clever play on the Latin word borrowed from Greek that it’s named after, “cȳma” (“sprout”).
(<y> ≈ “ü” in Latin)
