Something that brought a smile to my face

This is a Tissot Navigator. I wish it was mine. It is currently in the tender hands of my watchmaker. This watch comes from his box of donors and broken watches, which is an incredible diamond to find in the rough. He might send it to me in the near future for some work, the replacement of a stubborn spring that disappeared. To my understanding there is an Omega equivalent of this movement, which is a nice quirk of many of these '70s Tissot and Omega movements.

My watchmaker might be keen on selling it, so if any of you Crunchers are interested, I'm sure he'd be keen to hear your offers.

I don't want this to be a promotional post plastered with "for sale" and "buy now," because I don't feel that that's the ethos of WatchCrunch. I think that a watch like this is a beauty that almost all of us can appreciate, even myself, who isn't one for dive watches. I think I may have accidentally found a new "grail." I can't stop thinking of the dial.

It's definitely worth repairing, and I could easily see that being a daily wear piece in my collection. If only I could find one of those in parts bin😉
