No waiting list. This is an older model from 2012. Bought it used.
Love the watch, congrats. I’ve put my name down for a 224270 having tried one on at an AD a couple of months ago. The Explorer is one of only two modern Rolex models that stand out for me, with the other being the Submariner. Eventually I’m hoping the hype around Rolex dies down, not due to price inflation, but to better align expectations with reality. The Explorer is a gloriously simple, robust, machanical watch, but it ain’t gonna change your life (no watch will).
One day I will have one of these in 36mm - perfect 🤩

The Explorer and polar E2 are my favorite Rolexes and the only two I realistically might ever buy. I also dig the two tone 40 mm brown yacht master but that costs as much as both explorers combined lol.
