Personally I love the term "summer watch". It's my favourite time of year and if a watch helps me enjoy it even more then so be it!

My summer watch last year was my bronze C60, I suspect it will be the same again this year.

I went with an AliExpress option for a summer watch as I wasn't 100% convinced that I'd rock that type of dial.
And I also did the eBay thing and got myself a swimming pool watch (pre-owned). After all you need to know how long you are at 50m whilst splashing around the shallow end...

The only watch that could count as summer watch in my tiny collection would be the Casioak transparent. Although that’s really more of a pool/beach watch.

Ive yet to spend a summer with the grand Seiko SBGA413 Shunbun. But have certainly enjoyed wearing it so far this spring.
first bracelet I have ever felt comfortable wearing. This weekend should be a good test as the temps will be in the 90s.

I don’t own it but for me the BB58 Blue is a perfect summer watch. Maybe, just maybe, I can decide on which GMT I will go for. The CW Sealander 63 in white is in the running and that is a nice summer watch IMO.
Definitely torn between getting a 63 in white or trying to be good and save up for The GS quartz GMT!

Thank you very much. I typically wear one watch per month. Junes watch is special cause i retired last june, they gave me a nice party at work and took upa collection for me. I always have liked ocean crawler and thats how i ended up with June's watch.

In my case, I still looking for the perfect summer watch. It would be water proof (100-200m), thin, and small diameter, something colorful (no black dial). The strap is also a important point in summer, maybe a nato. If you know a watch that matches with these specifications...?
So, I don’t really have a dedicated Summer watch in my collection. In response to your question about what is the summer watch of 2022, I think it would have to be something in Tiffany/Robin’s egg blue. (Perhaps with a bezel that can track the declining value of my investment portfolio).
I don’t own this, but this would be my summer watch if I did.

In South Florida, we have 2 seasons: summer and hurricane, which roughly matches other locations equivalent of summer. Hurricanes are all about preparation and toughness - so my go-to hurricane watch is the Vostok Amphibian paired with a durable Kavu velcro strap for comfort in extreme conditions.
