Watches in stupid sitcoms

I was reading another $X,000 watch thread and it reminded me of Gob Bluth from Arrested Development with the $X,000 suit that he felt he needed to announce to everyone.

This isn't really about a watch, but is the main reason I'd want an expensive watch. But then I recommended a Day-Date or gold bullion in another thread. This made me think of a scene in a 30 Rock episode where Tracy Jordan swears during a live broadcast, such that the network informs him that he has incurred (I believe) a $50k fine. His response is to take of his watch and announce that he needs someone to cut it in half for him. I can't find the video.

And this episode

So enough about cinematic adventure and their watches. Please share any goofy sitcom stuff here.

Wait wait, did Brioni make a watch or is this regarding the series title item (I think this is that show that Megarn Markle was allegedly on)?

It’s not about a watch that’s all I’ll say. And yes it’s from the series that she was definitely on. 😅😅

Was watching series 3, episode 1 of Vicar of Dibley when I came across this. I think the Simon character is wearing a Cartier Tank. This was supposed to be a dramatic breakup scene and all I could think of is, “Is that tank too small for him?”

My world revolves around watches, apparently.

I believe the show is called "Modern Family" whilst "All in the Family" is the proper name for what people call "Archie Bunker."

@OscarKlosoff you are absolutely right 👍.

What I didn't know was that there was an episode of All in the Family centred on Archie Bunker buying an "Onega" (as opposed to #omega), and thinking his $25 dollar purchase was worth $300. In the end it turned out to be worth $8!

I don't think I've ever seen this episode. If anyone can point me to the best way to do so, please do.

The answer to “is that Tank too small for that wrist” is always no.
