So my wife fell for a clear Baby G and of course, hated that it looked dingy after a while. Once the clear was no longer clear, she stopped wearing it. She asked if I could help. We decided to dye it purple. I think it looks great. And more importantly, she is happy and wearing it again. What do you all think?

Excellent! How did you dye it purple?
I'm surprised that worked. Looks good.
Great idea. Same question as @ZiggyS , how did you die it?
Comme on! Did you really do that? How????
Looks great
Damn, looks like a stock factory color.
Nice! Rit dye, by any chance? 🤔
I used this stuff. I was getting their clothing dye. Then saw this bottle. Where the Rit clothes dye listed cotton, polyester, and nylon. This one listed different materials. I'm not sure if there was a difference. But there was no difference in price. From here I just sort of followed directions.
You did a great job
They age poorly, I still have one from before I gave up on "ladies" watches.
Looks great 👍
That's was a great idea. I think you just gave me my next project. I've been really curious if dying the clear resin parts was possible and you just answered it.
Plastic being an oil product will absorb oil and discolor eventually drying out and cracking. Being harder than Neoprene it lasts a while longer than the 6 years Neoprene does. I just some silicone grease for my watches to coat the stem seals and help protect them from drying out a bit. Anything but silicone will absorb in to the material and swell it.
That’s sick. I’ve got some G shocks that have changed color that I don’t wear for that reason anymore. I’m gonna try this. Thank you for the post.
Love that you tried this. The yellowing of a clear phone case years back put me off clear resin. Now I’m wondering if it’s worth buying one and going full tie-dye!
That's really great! 👏🏻
Looks great
At first sight I thought is is one of those full sapphire Hublot watches. 😂

Same question, as well.
