So I got my last pieces to the puzzle today. I found this 1977 Superman dial on Ebay. I decided to go with a Panerai style case. Along with the case, I got red SKX style hands and an NH38 movement. I do need a different strap. I thought I had a nice leather strap. Unfortunately, I used it with another watch. So a new strap is in the future.

That’s pretty cool. How difficult was it to retrofit the dial?
Very cool!
Love it
I'm no Panerai fan but this all gels together perfectly. I always think that the highest compliment for any homebrew or custom build is to say that it seems factory, which this does.
It wasn't difficult but time consuming. The dial wad 31mm's. So too large for most cases, but too small for a few field watch cases. So I started by reducing the size of the dial. Filed it down to fit the case. Then used dial dot to secure it to the movement. Later on, I would like to teach myself how to add new feet.
Very clever 👏
Chacon a son gout
Good job,not subtle and definitely a one of a kind. But well cool 😎
Great job. Forget Pepsi. If black and blue is Batman, red and blue should be Superman!
This looks like a job for Superman!
