Giving away your watches?!!?

After doing some mental gymnastics (one of my favorite phrases) I have a separate revolving ‘Casio Only’ collection. I love Casios. They are so much fun and super affordable but far too easy to start and accumulate. I’ve had a Casio on my wrist for as long as I can remember. So as not to ‘hoard’, I tend to give my Casios away to friends and family. Bec of this I have ‘infected’ them with the watch bug as well! One of them actually just created a WatchCrunch account @Dadseb69. Win-win the way I see it! You have created another ‘enthusiast’ to discuss all things watches with AND you have opened up a ‘spot’ to fill with something else. I consider myself a ‘minimalist’ and this way I’m able to somewhat manage my addiction to watches. Anyone else give away their watches?

(Photos are some of the Casios that I’ve given away to new homes. My friend asked me about the Duro. After putting it on I asked him if he liked it. He said yes! And I told him he could have it 😊)

So hey what's up can I be your friend. Asking for a friend.

·

I tend to give away some watches. Just gave away a Duro this afternoon.

·

I can identify with this. I do have 1 watch if push come to shove I’d have to keep.

·

I’m up for adoption!

·

I wouldn’t mind an LF20W if you decide your collection needs to be a bit lighter 😉

I have considered doing the same thing. I have over 20 Casio's(too tired to count them now). My problem is I don't know anyone who wants a watch. My wife has taken over a couple of my watches. She took 2 of my Timex Expedition's because she loves Indiglo. Everyone else I know doesn't wear a watch or they have smart watches. I have 2 young nephews I have thought about giving them a Casio but all of my Casio's are too large for them.

I gave a bunch away this Christmas.

I just purchased 3 watches and shipped them out to business partners that I also consider friends. I’m hoping to get them hooked!

Very kind of you. That F91 with the metal band is an awesome mod. I'm currently waiting on some metal bands to come in to mod my old F91

·

Usually to my brother. About to give one to a very good friend soon (if I can convince him 🤞).

·

Yea, watches are good for some birthday presents

Still have my first F91w (10+ years old) and it’s also on a metal band. The resin ones just fall apart after some time.

I’m declaring myself not to buy another Casio to avoid heartbreaks when having to give away some of my watches ✌️

The duro on a jubilee looks dope🔥

That's always the thing that falls apart on the ones I've owned. Fortunately, after being forgotten in a drawer, I was able to find the last one I had gotten years ago.

Given a few quartz away this year. Either family or charity shops. Not because I'm Mr generous, I just can't be bothered with ebay (I always seem to sell to the most awkward people).

I given alway some Casios and other over size watches. I try to keep a tight collection what I do is get rid of one sell it or give it alway. And replace it with something much better. I have a real soft spot for certain watches like Casios F91, Royale and Forester those I love because perfect wrist size for me.

I've given away a couple of watches in the past ... nice feeling when having done so!
