I got the watch bug about five years ago. After an initial spree (and still have those watches) I put a self imposed halt on buying anything for about 3 years. During this period I just enjoyed looking at watches, watching videos, and joining this forum.
In the last six months I broke the drought and bought three watches (two were gifts from my wife). Who knows what the future holds but for now I think I have my perfect three watch collection. The Longines was my Christmas present and the first purchase over €1000. It terrified me at first wearing this watch and worrying about damaging it. The purchase followed my first post on this forum where I asked you all whether I should choose the Longines or a BB58. I’m still glad I chose the Longines. Then in March I had a 40th birthday and 15th wedding anniversary. I went watch shopping with my wife and she chose the Omega Seamaster 300. I was leaning towards the planet ocean but she made the decision. I’ve barely taken that watch off my wrist in the past two months.
I knew I needed a gym/exercise/beater watch and on an airport layover I saw the Gshock and made my first impulse purchase.
I still enjoy window shopping and following this forum but honestly, for now, can’t think of another watch I’d swap out. I feel I have my perfect three (plus the others…).
(Fully reserve the right to contradict myself and do an update post in six months about another watch I’ve bought…)
life goal! "for now, can’t think of another watch I’d swap" Enjoy the trio, they look very satisfying
The Seamaster 300 is on my grail list so feel free to send it my way if you want to replace it with the Planet Ocean 😂. I’ll take good care of it for you.

In all the hours spent looking at watches I always thought it would be impossible but it’s a nice feeling for sure!

Haha what can I say, my wife has good taste. So glad she chose that one, it’s a stunning watch!
It’s a stunning and severely underrated watch. When I was taking the photos I felt an immense guilt that I haven’t worn it since I got the omega.
Great threesome - all the bases are covered!
The Longines is nice.
That Longines is a great value . . . I always considered it but would rather hunt for a nice condition Universal Geneve tri-compax as my vintage addition to my collection.
The Longines is a great choice! Then again, I might be somewhat biased given that my now-wife gifted me this gem on our engagement!

I’ve forgotten how good it looks on the bracelet too!
Nice, love a small powerful collection 😍
Great collection. Really nice and balanced.

That Longines is beautiful and great value. I was gutted that it was too big for me to wear comfortably so ended up returning mine. I ended up getting this smaller 37mm Eterna with a near-identical movement.
Great collection
