I wore this to work today and posted it on WRUW. It is the only Invicta I own. It was a purchase early in my watch collecting adventure. JOMASHOP called it the Invicta Special Chronograph. Invicta called it the Black Dial Chronograph. Well, it was quite a disappointment when I received it. The dial isn't black, its kind of gun metal gray and reflective. The hands are so thin and silver white that they disappear unless you hold the watch just right. Outdoors they disappear completely. I can't read the thing at all while I'm driving. The chronigraph is pretty useless also because the markers are so small as to be unusable. Additionally, the photo really didn't show the sub-dials overlapping like they do. They were touching but not overlapping. The strangest part of the chronograph is that the seconds sub-dial hand has to completely unwind when the reset pusher is pressed. 😕 For example, if you time an event for 10 minutes and x number of seconds, the seconds hand has to unwind 10+ full turns before the thing stops. At least that's a conversation starter. Invicta is in its own universe.
Perhaps it's a case of form over function on this watch (as it is with many of Invicta's products).
That said - has it functioned well? Any issues with the pushers, eating batteries, or not keeping time properly?
I have 3 Invictas (invictae?) in my collection and they've been trouble free, but admittedly I also picked them early in my collection (you mean I can get all these fun watches for not much $$?).
If I was looking for a budget diver, I might consider one of their pro-diver collection.
It could be a plus that you can't see the hands. That way you'll never notice when they fall off.😜
Urgh, I know the feeling when you buy a watch.....and it's a disappointment. I've had the experience where I can't read the hands easily and it taught me to always check the "glance-ability" of any potential purchase. I'd put in on eBay and move on.

Nice
Sounds like it's time to take a trip to the local pawn shop? 😎 Or maybe gift it to a friend, swap it, trade it, etc.?
My issue with Invicta is a bit different than disappointment with appearance. Like some others on this thread, I was enamored of the perceived value of Invicta early in my collecting, and I added several to my collection in a short period of time. I had three break within a couple of months. One had the entire movement break free in the case, the crown and stem came out of another, and the second hand came loose on the third. Cost more than I paid for the watches to fix them, and Invicta warranty only covered one. They replaced the watch that the movement had come loose in the case, but they replaced an automatic with a quartz. After that, I was done. I know sending the quartz was probably an error, but I no longer cared enough to deal with it.

Get the Grand Diver instead. Better quality for only a minor additional outlay. Some can be had regularly for $89 all day long. It's bigger, but if you can handle a bigger watch, it's a no-brainer. Just my 2 cents. Cheers! 🍻

Yes, while it's still mint.
I agree, if the watch isn't readily readable it misses the Prime Directive. Sell while mint, IMO, as @mikemike and @TwiceTollingClock mentioned.
You're right, it's black in the ad. Perhaps they sent you the wrong color? Yours appears to be a lovely green color but you're right about readability. The black would have been more legible.

You have an excellent point. This is why we have a community. It is spectacularly accurate. Very impressive in fact. It may not be legible on my wrist but it is perfectly legible indoors and at 45mm it's perfectly readable when propped on its bracelet alongside my computer monitor. Now I have an Invicta desk clock!
Invicta actually does have a diver I like, the Automatic Pro Diver in black, 44mm (31485), $69.90 on the website with an NH35A movement. Not a bad deal at all.
Do they also have it in a 65mm men's size?
What if somebody swapped on some broad hands of your choice? Maybe even you!
Invicta is hit and miss I guess. The two I own have been fantastic through the years…so my experience is different than some.
Tbh this was funny as hell reading your description of the watch hahahahahaha
I feel very sorry for you, I know the feeling when you’ve bought something and it does not meet your expectation.
I’m pretty sure that you’ll be getting a new watch again , the one that you will really cherish and enjoy, so please let me offer my own personal formula or sort of a guide to help you pick the right one next time.
Choose the watch with the aesthetics that you think is beautiful to you.
Then, check if the watch is on the top 10 on the list below. If not, take a pass on that watch and hunt another.
What’s this list all about? This the watch report (2021) from Morgan Stanley, which is based on turnover or total amount of sales over a set period. Why do care? Because these are the watches that most people desire and buy. Also, in case you want to offload your watch, you can be sure that you can move your watch very quickly because majority of the buyers love them. I would like to go in depth but I’m lazy typing
