Seiko vs Timex

Hi everybody

I am in a lookout for a new watch.

Due to my slender wrist I have to go for 38-40 mm watch.

Which of those two would you recommend.

Seiko srpe 45j1 or timex galli s1?

I think out of the two choices the Timex would wear better. But there are other seiko offerings at 38mm case diameter. I see you're on the look for a green toned dial, have you considered the Alpinist?

I will beat this drum until I die. DressKX is a future classic and it is always worth having a look at. But if I had to tell you my opinion based on the two stated, Seiko all day long but mainly by forfeit. I'm still disgusted by the lack of QC shown on @benswatchclubs unit

Seiko cuz I’m a Seiko fanboy

Yea I am kind of crazy for that green

No I havent considered the Alphinist well worth looking for that option as well

Thnx

Timex. I'm really not feeling the dial on that Seiko.

·

Also that Seiko cocktail is hard to find piece   if you find one let me know…i’m hunting it down…🤫

·

Of the two shown; the Seiko Presage.

I like the dial & crown more than on the Timex

·

+1 on the Seiko

·

My money would be on the Timex, I love that case construction and the elegant dial, it's like retro futuristic.

·

I’d go for the Seiko matcha dial. That type of texture will bring a smile on your face every time you look down. Those are limited edition too. I didn’t think they were still available?

·

definitely the seiko is much better in my opinion. The only cons may be the match with little wrist.

·

I'd pick Seiko over Timex every day

·

I love numbers on a dail and even though I'm a Timex loyalist; I would opt for the Seiko. I have that howin strap on my Orient and it formed itself wonderfully around my wrist. It's one of the most comfortable straps I own.

Seiko over Timex every time, for me anyway…..not disrespecting Timex at all here…… but if you get fed up of a decent Seiko you can sell it in a heartbeat and recoup most of the value if not actually make a profit…… the same can’t be said of a Timex. Pure economic answer, but buy what you like, that’s the beauty of the watch hobby
