IM CLUELESS!!!

GUYS IM STUCK!, Like most enthusiasts I want I new watch on almost a daily basis. And recently I’ve been wanting to add to the collection but I’m ngl sure what I have a list of many many watches but I don’t know what to get maybe it’s because I’m bored and don’t actually want a new watch or maybe none of my options are truly what I want but whatever it is I’d like to get y’all’s opinion on suggestions for watches doesn’t matter the price (I’m not rich or anything) but I’d like to see what pieces you guys would suggest for one to buy and add to the collection!

I’m going through the same thing right now and every day I’m looking at a Seiko Captain Willard, specifically the SBDC109. But I’m also on a real GMT kick at the moment and have been browsing around options there.

I recommend you pace yourself. It’s a great feeling of excitement to receive a new watch…until you may realize it wasn’t the best match.

·

I’m at a crossroads right now where my watch box is full and besides going higher end or something with a unique dial, I’m not sure if I have a hole in my collection that would necessitate putting another hole in my wallet.

·

It will slap you in the face when you find that one. Personally only a few find their way strapping my wrist. I have to have a connection. I hate connections lol. I have 48 connections at 62 years old lol.

It will happen. Don't rush it. Enjoy the hunt.

Cheers!

Try buying straps for the watches you already have. Sometimes a strap change completely changes a watch.

·

I feel your pain.

Without knowing what you’ve got (besides that 🔥Squale) it’s hard to suggest. That being said, Orient is super cheap on JomaShop right now along with a bunch of other brands on their July 4th sale.

Maybe look at what you’ve got and plug the hole… no dress watch? Grab a Bambino. No chronograph? A Seagull 1963 might scratch the itch. Both cheap and nice watches.

Came here to post this. When you find the one, you’ll know. The hunt is half the fun, particularly when you’re a true fan of horology itself.

Im in limbo!! Waiting in "medical limbo" and with that comes some level of $$$ responsibility, dang it!! I picked up a few Islanders a few months ago to scratch the itch but the itch is worse then ever and I can't buy right now due to the previously mentioned $$$ responsibility!! But....when it's time, here's a few on the list

Love the face that you have a nivada Grenchen on here most people don’t talk about them so it’s nice to see they have a place on your list. But I’m definitely trying not tk buyba watch just to scratch the itch cause knowing me I’ll end up seeing “the one” and won’t be able to afford it by then 😭

Most definitely I recently went back to a few watches that previously had knocked me upside the head but they don’t hit the same as they did months ago. So the hunt is definitely still on lol.

In a Very similar situation myself! Watch box is full yet I only wear three of the watches in it. And the only way I see myself wearing more than the “holy trinity” is if I go luxury or find “the one”

I don’t think I can reach as high as the trinity but Omega and Rolex are well within reach if I really wanted it.

Yea man I was in a intergrated sports watch phase for a while (And still am to an extent) I also found myself getting real heavy into dress watches such as the gold pvd junghans MaxBill and Cartier Dumont.

Man, good luck! Those are some awesome watches on your list! Cincy Watch Co. Is a little over an hour from me. Next time I’m that way I’m going to stop and kick the tires. They got beautiful offerings from the pictures.

I commend your diligence and patience, sir.

Yea I’ve accepted that I’m the odd one of bunch trying to explain this obsession to friends usually ends up laughter but it is what it is.😂✌🏾

I was deeply in the "I can't ever have too many watches" mindset recently. What I've found is that I've actually enjoyed researching and comparing watching to figure out my next buy. This year I decided that I would only buy 1 watch per season so at the end of the year I would have a 2023 Collection of sorta. It's really helped me focus and figure out what I really want in a piece and has opened the door to looking at watches I never even new existed!

This is what I've been doing to scratch the itch. Suddenly a lot of my watches look and feel absolutely brand new. Most recently an eco drive I've had for about14 years and now it's my daily again... Like brand spanking new 😊

  • Maybe the new Squale 1545

  • Zodiac ZO9212

  • Seiko Alpinist

  • Hemel no date diver

  • Ball Skin Diver

Some very nice pieces on this list I’ll definitely give them some thought!

If you are not sure what to buy, it means there’s nothing worth buying at the moment. Go on with your life and enjoy the watches that you have. Something worthy will appear sooner rather than later. :)

By far my favorite Brietling only problem is the size it’s super thick and I already don’t have ti biggest wrist out there and it’s steep on the price for me rn other than that I’d love to have this in my collection the dial color is just amazing!
