I am entirely apathetic toward it. It's not offensive. It's not inspired. It is there.
Yes, I suppose I agree with that. I feel like their previous propellor logo had a little bit more inspiration perhaps. Then again, we might hear a story behind this one too.
I had to look up what the old logo was, and I’ve visited the factory in Henley so it obviously wasn’t memorable.
But I think this is not good at all, looks very generic and I can’t imagine a compass maker would use a watch dial as it’s logo.
I do like the look of some of their watches but I find the tryptic case a bit fussy. And I can’t get my head around the pricing, just seems like too much money. It’s nearly 3k £’s for their cheapest model and it’s on even on a bracelet.
I want to like Bremont and their models - but their design ethos and their pricing structure...eeks(!), just can't buy into the brand. Held them at ADs multiple times, but they are like Tag Heuer and Breitling, I try them on and check them out - and they don't feel nearly as quality/luxury as competing brands and the pricepoints seem insane as a result. So to me, the logo is the least of their problems. 🤷
Don’t go there… between moaning about the Wright Flyer movement “issue”, to prices, to genuine hate, it’s not a brand you want to mention if you don’t want a scrap.
The fact is, £28m turnover, largest UK watch manufacture, all grown in 20 years, they’ve done very well. They’ve gone all in on manufacturing the K1/ENG300 (which they’ve bought the IP and other “moving parts”) and they’ve started to stick it in their watches (Fury, Audley, Supernova)… yes they were costly but they have to recoup the money.
They’ve recently had some new investment, and they’ve hired a new CEO to help with global development. They want to push, they have every right, and if the watches they launch in the next 12 months get it right, they’ll do well.
However… if this is the new logo, I’m underwhelmed. Maybe it will look better on a timepiece?
Despite the controversy, the Wright Flyer it's one of my favorite watches ever, but the price and yes, that issue, kept me away from making the move.
It's so hard to find the perfect watch, what a pity.

Yeah, fair enough. I do think their RRP is steep. I'm curious as to which of their watches you like the look of?

The Broadsword, the ones based off a Jaguar E-type dash board, and the pilots watch with two crowns. Sorry I can only remember the name of the Braod sword

Better than their naff propeller logo imho.

I quite liked they're older logo.

Didn't hate it, but it was maybe too limiting (aviation focused) and guess they want to be seen as more of an "adventures" brand .
Personally as a patriotic Brit I'd rather have seen something more Union Jack inspired (a bit like Chris Ward)

Yes, both great points.
I guess that's why they've gone with something a bit more neutral or open to interpretation.
I think someone at the 90's Valiant Comics is selling their IP 😂

That's my thinking.
I'd certainly like one in the future 👍🏻

That's kind of how I feel about the brand in general...
I don’t mind this one, but I prefer the current one. A compass feels like a stock picture option

You’ll have to share if you do 👌🏼
Looks good to me. 👍
I'm worried about the expansion of NATO.

I agree. I'll be interesting to hear if there is a reason they went with the new one.

Same
It looks like a symbol taken from clip art. Uninspired....
Mechanical watches are retro and clip art is retro. We'll have to see the new watches to know whether it's the same cohort of retro style.

Yes, I agree reg Retro for analogue watches. If this does turn out to be the new logo, in my opinion they could have put some more work into it.

Chris Ward is the absolute worst logo both before and after 🤢
Love their new logo myself 😄

Of course! Will be a while yet 🤑

Yeah the two crowned ones are really nice!
It appears that the logo is legit - this is on their insta:
