My dad sponsored me a watch and my mum stitched the strap for me .

Good job kid. You're young so I won't chide you about not using the hourly chime or 24 hour time, but do think about that in the future.

Digital display. Big deal. If he could tell analog time I'd be really impressed. Now back when I was young . . . (groan, snore) little kids did in fact wear watches. Everybody did. And I don't remember when I learned to tell time, but when I was in the first grade I knew when it was 3 o'clock (dismissal time) on the classroom clock. NO I DON'T REMEMBER WHAT KIND OF CLOCK IT WAS OR WHAT MOVEMENT IT HAD.
Wow ain’t you lucky you. If I started that young I would have a huge wicked collection by now.
