Glycine × Invicta 5 element?!

Did anyone else notice this collaboration?

Glycine is doing fine by themselves. Since Invicta bought Glycine in 2016 they have left them alone and they (glycine)have been manufacturing some awesome watches.

Please,Invicta, leave them alone and get your name off their dials and your hands off their iconic designs.

Love Glycine, but cannot get into Invicta. So I'm in agreement with @foghorn 💯

·

Just NO!! 😱🤣

·

The two have to remain mutually exclusive.

·

Absolutely LOVE the look. The brand? Not so much... An easy build if you're into modding

·

Neither one make anonymous looking watches unless they collaborate. I like red, so it has that going for it.

·

That's one heck of a Glyvicta!

·

So this is the latest bandwagon jumping trend is it; this whole "collaboration" thing?

Mostly no thanks ... I mean, when Long Island and Urban Gentry teamed up a couple of years ago it was kinda cool, but like anything "cool", the bandwagon gets jumped on, beats it to death and takes the "cool" right off of it ... tsk, tsk <rolleyes>

·

Agree with the rest.

That being said, I would totally rock an Invicta x Glycine Combat Artist Skull, but only if bought off eBay. Not paying ridiculous Invicta "MSRP".*

*trust me I'd wear it, don't believe me, ask around, *cough* Angel Killer *cough*, @SpecKTator 😂

Why in the heck did they put Glycine's name at the top? I'd say that I hope this boosts Glycine sales, but I can't even pretend to care about Glycine.

Because Glycine actually mean something , even to snobs. Invicta has been "borrowing" from Rolex, Tudor and now, Bulova. Glycine has more respect than Invicta

I enjoy seeing collabs, but I don’t get the point of this. There appears to be little to zero Glycine DNA present outside of its logo being used on the dial. May have been interesting to see them take on their classic Airman model and having Invicta do as little as injecting some more playful colors. As it stands, this looks to be a very forgettable release that helps neither brand. Poor execution across the board. Just my 2 cents.

·

Soooo, I did some digging and these are limited runs of 500 in 5 colors "elements" black, brown, green, blue and red. They only had red and blue left.

They talk about the watches starting at 19 minutes. They are made by Glycine with a Ronda quartz movement.

I have both Invicta and Glycine and I hate that this collaboration was formed. Clearly they have lost connection with what the collectors desire and the history of both brands. I understand business and the turn of a buck, however Invicta has abandoned that "family of collectors" inclusion for that "I'd buy that for a dollar" mindset! Disappointing!!!

It's a really great watch. It's what the omega × swatch should have done. It wears amazing, the dial is absolutely beautiful. I'm telling you, it's seriously underrated.
