Sinn T50

Just seen the new T50 in the Sinn Diver range. A watch that for me suddenly screams to the top of my large want list. Two pro factors in this watch. Titanium and the handset which I prefer over the Lego style ones. I know that's a love or hate divide.

This new release is killing it. What you guys think ?

I always wanted a Blue U50 (a lighter blue than their limited edition, similar to the U1 blue). Now I want a blue T50. Interestingly the T50 is thicker than the U50.

I think It’s because of the domed crystal, just like the U50 pro is thicker than the standard U50..

I like the Sword hands but yikes Sinn are pushing it on the pricing IMHO, however it is grade 5 Ti. Looks like the bracelet clasp has no improvements unfortunately. I wish there website got an overhall and showed more detailed pics.

At first blush, yes, it's expensive, but compare it to a Pelagos 39mm. The Pelagos has a better movement and bracelet, but this has a lot of extra technology (whether you need it or not), a tegimented bezel, more WR, copper sulfate capsule, gas filled, higher grade Titanium, etc.

The bracelet version being 20% less than a Pelagos 39mm, I don't think its too out of line.

Agreed Sinn Have raised the prices alight, but then, all the big Swiss brands do every year. Sinn are a quality brand for sure. Need some German robustness in my collection I think

That's some fair points 👍 the higher grade Ti may account for a lot of the price.

Agreed, the prices across the board just keep heading North unfortunately.

Although apparently the bracelet is only grade 2.

I like the monochrome look of the T50 a lot. But that Goldbronze is crazy!

·

They probably read that I wanted them to bring back the T2 🥸 But now I have bought myself a another diver, so I can only curse them and move on...

I think they look nice, but I still like the funky shape of the T2 more 🤔

·

I love it but at $3900, Id rather have the Pelly 39.

·

I love the design of the watch, but this does seem expensive when compared with a U50.

Otherwise, using a Sellita movement is a good thing to me, as it can be serviced anywhere, but when they have the copper capsule and the inert gas (while it's amazing tech), it does require you to service through Sinn, which can be more expensive and a hassle if you're half-way across the world.

agreed. I struggle with obvious tool watch / divers that are done in gold or the gold look. doesn't fit. Bronze on certain models is all good

The Ti T50 definitely appeals to me with the monochromatic looks and material choice, but the upmarket pricing compared to the U50 does put a damper on my "insta-want" reaction and willingness to just pull out the credit card. Beautiful pieces tho.

Glad they changed the hands from the condom hands on the u50 to sword hands. Still can't justify the price, it's almost impossible to land a discount where I am and there are so many more desirable pieces at this price point.

condom hands! 😂love it. agreed its a steep mark up for sure. just happy they finally bought out a U series looking diver which doesn't have the 'condom hands'

·

It's surprising that the rubber strap is the same price as the bracelet. If the whole watch, including the case and bracelet were tegamented, I would have already ordered it. I'm still on the fence. That's a lot of money.

I’m just so happy to see Sinn make more dive watches for the skinny-wristed like myself. I still prefer the style of my U50 but I think the T50 is an awesome piece. I’m sure many people find the sword hands more approachable than my lego sticks and titanium watches on ti bracelets are wonderful.

I like the sword hands alot, not so much the price hike. I like the blocky hands of the original and am not fussed about the Titanium construction as I love the submarine steel of the U50.

My next Sinn would be a UX quartz oil filled probably. But probably not if the price point keeps on increasing like it has recently.

Good looking piece -- not in love with the look of the bronze version though.
