Embracing A Big Watch!!!!;)

So I have a 6 and a half inch wrist and most of the watches in my collection (bar a couple) aren’t bigger than 41mm in diameter!!;) so to have bought this , we’ll this is is not usually me!! However over the last few months I have tried to embrace the GShock world and accepting that GShocks are supposed to be big and not just worn by bodybuilding marines!!!!! This is the Frogman! A reinterpretation of the first ISO certified G-SHOCK that came out back in 93!!! I love it! But would do you think about oversized watches? Also asymmetrical watch cases?;)

Asymmetrical I can live with, but anything bigger than my DW5600 is right out. And I have big ole Popeye wrists compared to you!

Hahahahaha well as the 5600 is the smallest a G-SHOCK gets unless it’s a baby G, I doubt you have many other than that one my friend;)

It's all good! Enjoy it,

Here's my whopper on my 8 inch wrist. 55mm at its widest point.

Looks like a spare tire on the back of a jeep.

But a cool spare tire…

love it!

Awesome watch. GShocks actually don't look too big at all when they're put to their intended practical uses (i.e. diving, hiking, working out, etc.).

And even so, just for wearing casually, they fit their role. It's like wearing a 50mm pilot watch, that might seem excessive to some, but a pilot in WW2 would've worn nothing but that.

Does it feel similar to a resin watch, comfort wise, with the titanium case?

I’m fine with ridiculous big watches ..as long as I don’t suffer from the horrors of embarrassing lug overhang.

Especially in a sporting scenario where display size matters (showing pace/ timer/ distance/ last split/ yada yada yada..)

I don’t have a gshock yet but am mulling over the new amoled Garmin 265 - 46mm or something crazy like that

I don't quite get the big for quick read during sports as the display is about as big as an f91, the rest is just hockey puc. 🏒

If your doing sport where you need that much impact protection, you probly shouldn't be wearing it anyways for others safety 👍

Get a solar tuna 😘 the sexy man's gshock 😂

Why would you wear a watch that's too big? Seems crazy to me.

I can wear big, so here is the Samurai on Beads of Rice from Uncle Seiko bracelet.

I also like G-Shocks but I can't get over the fact that most won't do day-month. So some suggestions, apart from the squares, are welcome!

·

Well, wear what you like, as long as it is comfortable on wrist . I don’t like anything under 41mm usually as a bit lost on my 8 inch wrist. But if really like a watch I would wear it whatever. No one to please but yourself. 😬

GD-X6930E-9ER just picked it up new in box.

It's a big boy too. Regular Gshock squares are my best size but I couldn't resist the lightning yellow of this long discontinued model.
