I definitely want to add a moonphase to my collection, but on a day-to-day basis, the GMT function helps me manage my teams and projects at a global company. It's useful.

But if I could stumble upon a proper tool watch with the moonphase, I'd buy it.

A couple of the Glycine Combat models come close. I'm interested but hesitant about the new Ball Engineer II Moon Calendar watch. Something will come along...

All would be awesome and if done right and legible that’s the ultimate watch!! With 300m WR and tracks your exercise and steps!!

Oh wait I have one…

Daily functionality trumps all desires in my opinion.

Complications are a tough one bc my heart pulls me in while my brain tells me that all of it is pointless and that I don’t really need it. We can all do simple math. We all have phones. And yet I gravitate the most to arguably one of the more useless complications in modern life . . . The moonphase. Maybe this is just a sign that I need to befriend Wiccans and New Age types or something haha. Signed, a Capricorn on the cusp of Aquarius in the house of an empty wallet.

another consideration is service . . . And if I’m getting a watch with complications I’m prob leaning in the direction of in house movements as well, which means more $ and potentially inconvenience. So it goes though . . .

None of the above, I do not need or want any of those mentioned on my watch, also whilst here I don't want an internal rotating bezel either 🙄

I've always loved chronographs, but since I'm on a tight budget, Automatic chronographs are too expensive for me and I do own a few meca/quarts ones (Seiko, Dan Henry) that are satisfactory for me. I'm in love with a Speedmaster Moonwatch, but I can't justify myself to buy a watch that costs around 10k.

I've never been a huge fan of perpetual calendar. I don't mind a small date, but even the bubble on a Rolex submariner annoys me, so...

But can we add a pointer date complication in the poll ? There's not enough watch that have that complication and IMO it looks soo cool. I've always found the Oris pointer date to be incredibly ellegant, it is in my top 3 list for the next watch if I can get one...

Moonphase is also not my vibe. There's a few that looks pretty classy, but in general they are way too expensive.

GMT is a complication that is growing on me. At first, I wasn't a fan of pepsi/rootbeer/2 tone bezels, but I found some more ellegant or diver oriented watches that catched my attention, and since I'm planning on a dive trip vacations next year, I would love a a diver's watch that could also be GMT would be pretty cool(talking to you Mido oceanstar GMT!)

MY second DREAM with analog hands & more complications...

The ONLY thing that would make me spend 333 euro on a watch - would be if I simply get EVERYTHING and more, at once!

Except a moon phase indicator, so the watch not get too big...

First a 36mm wide, 40 high and 6mm slim rectangular solid black titanium case, with cut corners and a leaning edge up to the sapphire crystal... Almost as Casio royale...

Then must it have two 22x11mm golden displays with black numerals (or black displays with golden numerals) 3mm from the upper and lower edge of the dial and crystal - with two lines of information each...

The first display show Weekday and (selected) Status (of extra function) on top and the numbers for the extra functionality on the second row... Then elegant golden half skeleton hour, minute and (a thin) second hands in the midddle, which naturally must be moving over (but not hide) the two displays... The golden watch brand name and other texts, have then plenty of room at both sides of the middle... And finally the time display - with 5mm high Hour, Minute and second on the first row and 3mm high Year, Months and Date on the final bottom row...

And the delicious Complications AND additional practical advantages...

  • 200 meters water proof, of course

  • 10 years battery time

  • Bracelet made of thin solid black titanium, with extra strong pins and ultra slim lock

  • Chronograph functionality - with Hour, minute, second and 10th of second

  • World times function, where you can select between 333 cities

  • Timer

  • Thermometer

  • This materpiece must naturally handle dates until year 2222

  • Air pressure

  • Depth meter

  • Golden sculptured 2,5 mm Roman numerals under the edge of the crystal and golden minutes dots, between them... So the dial will be - top space 3mm, first 11mm display, middle space 4mm, second 11mm display, bottom space 3mm

  • Then can the dial have a nice pattern OR be slightly transparant, in a bronze tone, so you can enjoy the gears

I like my watches as simple as possible - 3 hands maximum. Hate date complications with a passion, have no use for a chronograph and a GMT is equally as pointless for me... However, I am a keen amateurs astronomer so I voted for the moonphase (ideally I'd like an equation of time or sidereal time, but they weren't options & are prohibitively expensive)

·

E; All of the above

·

I guess out of those, a GMT (though I haven’t settled on one yet and have a few chronographs 😆) but…

Diving bezels - I like them aesthetically and use them all the time.

And of course moonphases can be beautiful. The Ultra Thin 👌

I, too, love a pointer date. Super underrated!

Date, I need a date. Have had some people ask me why? Before, I didn't care as much but after owning a couple of watches I noticed that I would always reach for the ones with a date(un-intentionally) and the rest would stay in the watchbox for way to long being unworn. So from now on Dates are always a must, with some exceptions of course😂
