My advice it to do the maths.
If you are going to buy the explorer to get the watch you like, but flip the explorer to a grey market dealer, expect to take 20% under list from them.
If the watch you are hoping to obtain is at at premium equivalent to the loss you’re taking for the explorer, then go straight to the grey market for the watch you desire, and also cut the waiting time out the equation

The diamonds set against the light meteorite colour make it less ‘in your face’ than dark dials like the onyx for example. It even seems to tame down the bezel, less of a contrast imo
