I'm no "Mr. Wonderful". But, I also enjoy my red straps.

I'm continuing to enjoy this watch and it's ability to match with all the aftermarket strap options I tried with this so far. I would say that red is the 3rd dominant color of the trio of primary colors on the TAG Heuer Carrera Montreal 160 Year Anniversary Calibre 02 Chronograph. Still strong enough to pair with a Fluco Biarritz Red Goatskin Leather Strap. I think it matches the tone of red used on the chronograph seconds hand quite well. The high contrast white stitching ties into the white dial, as well.

Have a happy Friday and weekend!

That looks really cool! Great layering of colors! 👍

First of all, this needs to be found whenever somebody looks into #tagheuer. There is never enough good looking stuff there.

Second of all… I’m truly amazed at how beautifully that works… If you were to tell you’re gonna pair a red strap with a white dial, blue sub register, yellow handed watch, I’d call you crazy. Well, there’s a small difference between being called a genius and a crazy person. You are a genius…. Man, that thing looks gorgeous! You have very good taste, sir.

Heuers are on the top of my cronograph list… awesome racing heritage, beautiful design, decent price and good quality. I’m really amazed.

Thanks! Yeah, I never took to the TAG trash talk. It was my first luxury brand I bought myself back in 1995. I suspect it may have been for many as well.

Regardless, I would say you can't go too wrong with TAG Heuer and their chronographs. Iconic, stylish, and classic. I would like them to revisit and renew their Autavia line, however. The current Autavias don't do it for me as much as the older ones.

Overall, their best genre of watches, IMHO. They have some other pretty good stuff here and there. But, most of my interests rests with this chronographs.

They're definitely doing great stuff with the newer glassbox Carreras. I like them a lot. But, some nice older models are worth looking at, too, and can be had for what I think are reasonable prices.

He doesn’t own the red strap look. Rock it!

Me too. I’m gonna have to get myself one like that.

·

Love the colors on this dial!!

·

Looking good

·

I love it! The color adds a cherry on top with the retro dial of carrera heuer. 😍👌🏻

·

Well considering how hard it'd be to out-do O'Leary in the insufferable department, I'd say it's a good thing to be no "Mr. Wonderful" (🤮)

Strap combo looks great!

Boom 💥 great combo

I've said it enough. But, I'll say it again. I love the colors on this watch, too!

Gorgeous Carrera 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This is an instance where it just works. Seems like you might have an eye for color coordination. Any idea on what might work for a blue moon cocktail time?

We’re actually calling him “Fat Kev” now

I think safe choices might be blue, grey, white, black and brown. Because the dial on those cocktail times are usually textured and the main attraction, I'd probably keep the strap options plain and simple as to not make overall look too busy and detract attention away from the dial. You don't want to wear plaid and pinstripes together, if you y know what I mean? If a strap's texture and colors are subtle enough, it may be alright. If so, maybe you might find something interesting from Strapsuits.

To casual it down further, idk if you like NATOs, but, if you do, I'd do one with seatbelt material build. They usually have a sheen to them and smoothness that can match with a dressier style watch better, inho.

I'd direct you to find my Longines Legend Diver 39 Blue posts for 2 examples on a blue and grey NATO-style strap from Haveston's Parade Series. They have that seatbelt look and finish. Sure, the LLD39 is a dive watch. But, many consider it a dress diver and something about the look and finishing does lend towards an upscale dressier look for a dive watch
