Ali, not so "Express"?

Not to happy camper here.

I know Ali Express is a marketplace hub for many smaller stores, but my latest purchase has me perturbed at the popular Chinese app.

I recently bought a watch from the "IXDAO IPOSE Store" on Ali Express. The store had around 10,000 followers and many reviews so I didn't think it was one of those risky shops.

I order the watch on June 5th and still haven't got any tracking. It's been 5 days.

Have you guys had a similar experience?

How long did your last AE order take to start tracking?

Would you cancel and try another store at this point?

I'm probably going to wait a few more days, and cancel if it takes longer than 2 weeks. I was just curious about you-all's experiences.

"Thanks Watch Cruncher!"

·

Might have something to do with IXDAO getting sued? Ali has actually been faster lately, judging by the last 2 Juelong orders I made - got them within 7-10 days.

·

Honestly, I've stopped buying from AliX. I've never gotten anything of value there really.

Here: 8 days passed and no sign the official San Martin store is going to send out my order from the latest sale. This will probably run into an automatic refund. 🤷‍♂️

·

My IXDAO also took about a week before being shipped. They are either slammed with orders due to the June sales event or just slow to process.

Nothing to worry about. At the end of the day, if your order isn't shipped within 10 days I believe you are automatically refunded. AliExpress does not mess around with refunds if your item is marked as free return. As a last resort you can always charge back with PayPal, they always side with the customer. But I would advise simply being patient because the watch is well worth it.

Thanks for the info.

In my day, purchasing from ali x meant hitting "buy," forgetting about it, then being pleasantly surprised about a month later.

·

Everything is possible. I had one order showing no tracking, then customs, then it was delivered to a Florida warehouse as the final destination. I got an immediate refund initiated by the vendor. No idea what that was.

But the biggest issue with AliExpress are deliveries that are complete, no matter how long it took, but simply incorrect. (You ordered the NH35 dial, but got 2824 instead.) These can be painful to resolve.

·

Tend to buy watch straps from Ali express never had any issues if the item isn't shipped within 10 to 14 days you get an automatic refund

·

I have never ordered anything from them. However, I did pick up a Pagani design from Amazon (for less than aliexpress), just out of curiosity. It's honestly not a horrible build.

·

Well hopefully it ships soon, because these watches are incredible. For what you pay, its downright criminal what IWC is charging for their OG version. Heck, IXDAO even offers hardened steel treatment AND half links with their version!

·

I always allow a good 3 weeks if I buy a watch directly from a manufacturer in China. Your not buying something on Amazon. Actually you can buy that watch on Amazon for $75-$85 more and get it faster. Your watch is traveling half way around the world and it has to go through customs twice.

I don't actually know why people need the watch right away. Can't tell what time it is ? One of my Chinese watches took 17 months to arrive. But I love it and I can sell it on eBay next week and get what I paid for it.

·

From my experience Aliexpress takes about a month for anything to deliver:/

Having a tracking number helps though

·

I figure on stuff from AliExpress talking about 2 weeks to arrive.

·

I think 5 days is a solid wait time, I would be alamared after a week or 2

So the shipping time is not the issue. My problem is that there is no tracking yet. After a week I figured I would see some movement. If it comes in a couple weeks late is fine. But I would feel better if I saw it was wrapped up and shipped.

·

Nothing to worry, I also got one and took more than a week to get a notification. You will be amazed with the watch.

Well I think you're right about that. In 3-5 days max there should be notification that at the very least the item is packaged and awaiting pickup. Then within another 3 days it should be at customs in China.

·

Sometimes my orders take about three weeks and some 2 weeks. If they have the product at their drop point here in the States the may arrive sooner.

In addition to the above if the Chinese province where the product is made or originated, has a weather, social, health or political calamity such as the recent floods, this could delay your shipment.

P.S. don’t waste your money returning your item for a refund.

The Seller will usually refund your money on your purchase if you can provide photos or videos of the problem. I tried returning a couple of defective watches out of good faith and two months later I received the package back after the package traveled to China and back to me. No one bothered to pick it up in China.

Go figure. 🫤

AE can be hit or miss sometimes. For me it’s been more hits than misses. I’ve been purchasing small items from them for years.

You know you can get some of the same items from Amazon or EBay. However make sure who the Sellers are and where they’re shipping the item from. On these particular site only by the product from a Seller shipping from your country that you live in.

·

I only purchase watch mod part from AliEx. Shipping time varies a lot

·

I just ordered the same watch. You should be good. It can be a number of things but I’ve always gotten things I’ve ordered from them. If it doesn’t come, (which I’m sure it will), go back and try getting it from the “IDXAO Official Store.” Ali express are on top of it if you don’t get your package and you’ll get a refund. That’s the top store to get the watch from with the most sold, reviews and tons of followers. The store you got it from should be good though.

·

It's pretty typical during or right after the big sales. They get a huge number of orders all at once and take.longer to ship. Remember that the order automatically cancels if it isn't shipped in a certain amount of time, so they have to do it, but it could take 1-2 weeks.

This is the approach I take. I order, forget about it (thinking it should take 7-14days) then when it arrives within a week, I’m happy

Thanks. This makes me more hopeful. I just want the watch, not to concerned about refund at this moment.

·

I love Ali, have to weed through some crap. But there are gems

Yea I order mine two days ago, and it’s already at US customs. So there’s certainly hope with your initial order, and if all else fails, get it from the store I mentioned.

·

Another story confirming why I do not shop on Ali Express. Consumer beware.

Just got tracking info! I'm excited now. Thanks for assuring me when I was anxious.
