So the folks at Fratello think brown dials are going to be all the rage this year, which got me thinking: Brown, really? ๐คท๐
But also: What if it was up to me, which color would I want to be coming out in my favourite brand/model?
So dear crunchers, what say you?! ๐ง

Been saying that even to wholesale reps for a year now that it will be the next big thing
I picked up this Nivada F77 with a smoked brown dial last year. I like brown dials, but feel that they look better with gold - the Patek 5711/1R-001 looks absolutely stunning as far as I'm concerned.

Ok, this one I do like! Good find ๐
It's hip to be square :)
I miss my brown dial 62mas should have kept it really subtle piece, you live and learn my friends ๐
My next watch is a brown dial and copper case.
My first purchase if this year was my Anonimo Nautilo Vintage has a brownish dial, and I really like it.
That looks nice. Although I feel a trend with red dials this year.
Not my favorite color remind me of poo poo
Yeah, not my favorite color schemeโฆ..
Brown is a terrible color for a watch.

That's a great looking watch, but in that photo, it looks more greenish grey to me than brown. Is it one of those dials that changes in the light and is almost impossible to get the true color captured in a photo? I have a Geckota that's like that.
Brown - you like it or hate it, not much in between. But the King Seiko with that limited edition 100 Anniversary dial looks insane! ๐๐ป
I think brown dials could pair well with copper or bronze cases. But I'd be happier if red becomes a thing this year instead... hot! ๐
I love that King Seiko and the Zenith El Primero brown dial is ๐ฅ. I really like the Tudor black bay bronze but that is not only a brown dial, but a whole brown watch.
Itโs hard for me to get there with the brown trend. But Iโm usually late to trends. So Iโll see you all in 2026 at a watch meet up with my brown watch. Until then itโs pretty much blue or black. Cheers.
Probably this is where I end up as well...
See you there! ๐
Iโll be ready for it! Love my two and have my sights set on the Club Sport Neomatik 39 Tabac
Brown is a terrible color for a watch.
The wrong brown is a terrible color for a watch.
Brown shoes, belts, wallets and briefcases have been in for over 10 years now. Why not watches?
Purchased this Seiko SPB243J1 in early 2023. Itโs got a subdued brownish gray dial and I love it.
I think Nomos called it. Iโm loving the fall colors.
I find the King Seiko you have on the pic is pretty cool and has been tempting me for a while. If it was only a bit more reasonably priced ๐
I'm in ๐
In, on a budget!
As long as brands keep releasing other dial colors Iโm not bothered by the brown. I canโt see myself ever owning a brown dial but if people want them I donโt see any reason to not make them. Even when thereโs lots of colors available Iโll still take a white or black dial 99% of the time.
I love brown dials. Need one ๐ฏ%
