Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
Father and grandfather got me into watches at a very young age.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
First was a fake Rolex Submariner, bought from China town in NYC for $10 when I was 8 years old. Wore the hell out of it as a kid, up until buying my first proper watch a limited edition Casio G-Shock with my 16th birthday money. Haven’t worn the fake Rolex since childhood but I did change the battery after finding it in the back of a draw last year, and to my suprise, it’s still working some 34 years later! 😂
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Buy what you love and buy it for you. No one else notices or cares what is on your wrist.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I don’t have a grail watch. I have a grail collection! 😂
