Time to make a decision

I made a post a couple of weeks ago to help me choose my first luxury watch , I was leaning towards the breitling SO with the omega being a close second but having tried them both on again I found that the omega wears better and will be nearly $1000 cheaper than the breitling! Yes I am getting huge discount on the SMP! Now I’m doing my final AD tour and I tried the BB58 again, it’s a very nice watch and wears beautiful but after the omega discount it’s only $500 cheaper than the smp which was a long time grail. What do we think of those wrist shots , the smp wears well on my 6.5inch wrist ?

You can’t go wrong. The Omega maybe slightly more premium. The Tudor maybe a bit more timeless.

·

Omega

·

Both are incredible watches but it would be the Tudor for me.

·

Both excellent choices with a lot to like about both. For me, I lean towards the Omega.

·

I vote for the Tudor but we all know they’re both excellent options.

·

For a 500 difference, go Omega. It was your long time grail and is the superior watch.

·

What is the function of the second crown on the Omega, the GMT?

Omega looks better, mainly as I do not like the Tudor snowflake hour hand design.

·

would go for bb58, looks and wears better

·

James Bond doesn't wear a Tudor...

It’s a helium escape valve which I’m never gonna use 😊. I got the Omega!

No sir he does not! I got the seamaster 🥳

·

I have owned both. I personally enjoy the. Blac Bay 58. Very versatile and classic styling.

The helium escape valve on the SMP became more and more an issue. I finally sold the SMP at huge loss. I would go for the Tudor!

·

I think the Omega wears perfectly on your wrist

·

I own a BB58 and think it’s a great watch, I do not like much the seamaster but on your wrist I’d say the omega 100%. Looks awesome.

That’s interesting, the omega is 3mm bigger and I felt wears much larger than the bb58. It could be the bracelet that made it look larger in the photos . I went with the omega today 😊

Oh interesting, yeah, must be the bracelet bec I swear the BB looked a bit larger. CONGRATS on the Omega, wear it in good health, friend!

·

Oof!

I’m amazed you pull off the omega with 6.5

I have 6.5 and it just felt so big!!!

In any case, I think maybe the Omega here

·

Omega then you get the Tudor next. 😊

·

If your personal clothing style is classic or heritage, like jeans, boots, leather jackets etc..., then go for the Tudor. If your more into modern or sporty clothing then go for the Omega. Both are super cool watches.

Honestly I’m all over the place with style but I have many style watches as well to go with the mood 😄. I went with the SMP yesterday but the bb will probably come later too

I was equally surprised that it worked, I guess different wrist shapes and how the lugs curve around the edges of your wrist . I have tried on smaller lug to lug watches that looked too big for my wrist.

I wear a bb54 as my daily piece but I think it’s important to go with something that’s a grail piece in your mind. The vintage subs of the 50s are grail level pieces for me and the 54 is close enough that it satisfies that want for me

My wife actually wants the bb54 so I guess I will have access to a blackbay too soon haha

·

Omega, especially when the price difference is that close!

·

Personally I would pick the Tudor, but it seems you really want the Omega, so follow your heart! Good choice either way!!

·

I’d go seamaster. You’ll get a lot of use out of that helium escape valve

In any case, it looks fantastic on your wrist!

This is a rare case where I’ll say get the SMP. At least from the two shots you’ve shown, it looks glossier, more fun, and like it has more personality

·

Smp all the way!

Can you post a photo? I'd like to see a BB58 on a 6.2 wrist

Here you go. It’s the perfect size for me.

I personally would tell you “Tudor all the way!” Especially if ut was a BB58… This watch is one of the watches that you keep appreciating more and more when you own, and not only visually. I literally love everything about it more than the Seamaster, so my vote goes with the BB58.
