SOTC 2023 + What’s next step?

Would anyone like to suggest something for my affordable collection? I would be happy to read suggestions.
Today I’m happy with the style of watches and wouldn’t like to increase the quantity, so I would prefer to do replacements only or even reduce.

I'm more interested in affordable mechanical/automatic in 1000€ budget, otherwise service would be expensive for me.

I've been thinking about new Seiko GMT to replace Bulova, as I prefer automatic. I also plan to replace the Casio World Time for the G-Shock “Casioak” Solar.

What you would suggest to do?

SOTC:

Casio Worldtime / Seiko SNK809 (auto) / Hamilton Khaki field auto / Citizen AW1360-12H eco-drive / Tissot Quickster Chronograph / Casio CA53W-1 / G-Shock GW-M5610U-1ER / Bulova Marine Star / Citizen Promaster NY0040-09EE (auto) / Orient Bambino V2 (auto) / Apple Watch 5 for heart rate workouts

in my opinion there are two missing category in your collection, a gada watch and a gmt. so seiko gmt, glycine airman, or any microbrand gmt under 1000$ (with nh34). and for gada smiths everest, lorier falcon, phylida, seiko srpe, etc.

Glycine Airman would be interesting!

Two good ideas you have! Before I read your full post I was set to say “seiko GMT” - that was £275 the other day from certain U.K. outlets. Astonishing bargain.

wow! Amazing bargain. Do you remember which color? I imagine it was the orange one, I've seen some discounts for that color. I would like to get the black or blue one.

Thank you! 🍻

Just because of your interest in field watches I’d probably suggest Timex. Their expedition range has some nice mechanical and solar watches well under 1000€. Otherwise if you’re in the EU there’s a microbrand called Echo/Neutra that do a field watch with a moonphase complication for around 800.

Yes, I love Field Watch! Timex is a classic, I like it too! Thanks for the Echo/Neutra tip, I didn't know that brand. I went to their page to find out and there are some beautiful ones!

Yes just orange. On watchnation and their amazon store.

Something with color. You seem to have a field/aviation theme going, and I would continue that. Seiko GMT makes sense!

In fact, a new color would look good. Maybe soon seiko will release the same Seiko 5 GMT Pepsi, who knows?

Thank you! 🍻

What about Seiko Presage Sharp Edge GMT? It keeps coming to my mind, but sadly it is way above my budget.

This GMT is beautiful and I like Seiko a lot, but it's a little over budget for me as well. But thank you buddy! In the Presage line maybe I would stay in the Basic Line, blue or green version maybe.

I like the Dan Henry 1970 Automatic Diver.  Really cool look in the Orange or the White. But also the Seiko GMT as others have mentioned and was first to come to mind.

The new Seiko SSK collection GMT would be a nice addition. or a Tissot PRX with powermatic 80 is also under $1,000

Yeap, I like the PRX, is something to think.

Beautiful, but I think 1 dress watch is enough for me. A new one only to replace the Bambino, but should be a really good one because I really like the Bambino. Maybe a Junghans.

·

Seiko SNK809 - fantastic choice of band color, looks amazing!

·

Fantastic collection with variety as well. My Tissot Seastar 1000 Powermatic 80 is my favorite watch. I have it on a steel mesh bracelet with a gradient blue dial. Banger!https://www.youtube.com/shorts/JpWB1BhyZes

Thank you! The Tissot SeaStar 1000 is very beautiful too! I've been thinking about getting one as well.

·

Over all it’s a fantastic solid collection. You got Casio all kinds, Automatics, Diver, dress watch, sports and nato. The sky is the limit man! My suggestion variation keep it tight.

Thanks man! Yeap, I don't want to increase the number of watches, but replace one or the other.

That’s right same I been doing here. I’m just happy with the few watches I just want to collect and the rest is needs ,wants and uses.
