Apologies for the shameless sharing of my own link , but if you are interested in their electric and electronic watch era then I did a video on it: https://youtu.be/HtW1IM5yl00?si=twtcj5X39VqmeUIG . Otherwise the big ones to look into are Bulova, Gruen, Elgin, Waltham and Hamilton. Timex also there of course - their roots in Norway an interesting history to explore.

commented on Horology, brands, watchmakers, which resources would you recommend me? ·

If you enjoy watches of the electronic era by far my most used are Pieter Doensens history of the modern wristwatch and trueb et als electrifying the wristwatch. Sadly only in french , but the book on the history of Lip : des heures a conter is great. One of the most thoroughly researched I’ve come across is Time for change on Enicar watches.

commented on SOTC - What am I missing? ·

Something dressy on a strap perhaps? Quartz Cartier Tank? I am of course obligated to say that it’s missing a digital, but I’ll let that slide.

I’ve got no flieger :( guess I’ll be flying a cargo ship full of rubber dog 💩out of Hong Kong (probably also boxes full of my beloved digitals ;) )

Amen! It’s a fantastic watch and love to see the passion

Not really a term I’ve used. Probably means I am one! (I don’t think so!)
