For me it’s my Formex Reef GMT. If I go a few days wearing other pieces I’m like yeah I should sell the formex. Then I wear it again and it’s back in my never sell catagory lol. Anyone else have a watch they go back and forth on but never sell?
If I’m thinking about selling one I pack it up in it’s box and pack it away for a few months. If I’m not missing it it’ll go on Chrono24 if I feel the urge to put it on I keep it. It’s worked pretty well so far.

Yes, I go back and forth on selling my Sinns all the time. I also have a pile of watches I definitely plan to sell, but just never get around to actually doing it.
Out of interest, how does the Longines rate alongside the Omega from an owners perspective?
Different animal but wearability wise and comfort due to the strap option and the clasp of the longines is more for everyday and the SMP I felt more a weekender, I hope that helps lol
My FOIS is what I’ve been thinking of selling. I love it. It speaks to me. But it doesn’t seem to get the same amount of wrist time. It feels a little small, the strap is a little tight and it doesn’t have a date complication.
I’ll keep on giving it more time and change the strap. If it falls off the rotation. I guess it might be time for it go.
I’ve been thinking of selling this Christopher Ward diver. I really like Seiko divers so thinking I might trade into a Willard. But when I put it on, I remember the watch offers a lot compared to similarly priced Seikos.
I don’t wear it often because it’s to fancy and shiny and the yellow gold is loud! But I’ll probably never sell it, besides my 18 year old son loves it so it will go to him.
I have no issues selling watches but this one has to stay for some reason.

Same here! I’ll get the listing drafted and pics taken ahead of time as well. Sometimes I unpack it and wear for a day if I get the urge, but usually when that happens, I end up publishing the listing that night. So far, I’ve had no real seller’s remorse.

Yeah I started this system after having some remorse for selling my Kamasu. Since starting this system that hasn’t been an issue.
I'm considering selling 2 Fossils watches lol one beaten up (my first watch) and the other I almost never wear it. But since those are Fossils, I don't think I can get much for
It is more of a decision when buying something new, that is when I will usually decide to sell. In other words, I am not deciding what to sell in order to buy something. It usually boils down to getting rid of something similar if I am buying something new.
For me it's the Baby Tuna LE and the C6 kingfisher.
Both great watchs and have had more wear lately to see if they should stay, but my tastes have changed and I tend to grab and gravitate more to the smaller watchs in my collection, just not found anything I would swap them for yet.
For me it’s my Black Bay 36. I’m obsessed with it but every time I see an Explorer I’m tempted to upgrade. But the price jump is significant and I don’t see enough value in the upgrade. The older 114270 will feel like a downgrade quality wise and that costs about 3x as much as the BB36 used ($2k). The 124270 would be the Explorer that would feel like an upgrade, though not by an insane amount. But at retail (probably can’t get it) it’s over 3.5x the price of a used BB36 and used it’s over 4x. I really don’t think it’s that much better of a watch to justify the price jump. If the 124270 was $5k maybe but that’ll never happen.

That’s a killer way to to determine what to do!

Yes, my Zenith
Yes, my Zenith
I can see why it’s hard to sell. She’s a beaut and not a zenith I have seen before!
these are in the chopping block as of late…

Is it bad the 1st thing I noticed was you have a BMW? (Fellow BMW owner lol). May I ask why the longines is on the block?

Makes sense. But I have to ask. Do you care to share some pics of your recent builds? That just sounds so cool.

I’m terrible at selling stuff. Once I have it, it’s mine forever, even if I don’t like it 😬

My BB58 I usually wear my sub no-day so my BB58 doesn't get much wrist time,
but I just can't bring myself to get rid of it.

Mainly the ones with a story: like a special ocasion gift. I would never sell these.
