My next watch will be an Australian.

After scaling back my collection from 12 to 4, I have been looking for something with colour, an Australian brand and also quartz.

Been looking at Adina watches and saw this and it even though it's a tried and true design, the fact it's an Aussie company was a big tick for me.

I have seen a few other Aussie watch companies but their watches are a bit on the pricy side.

I did look at the Erebus Origin but it just didn't float my boat ( and it's automatic).

Putting a few bucks away each week towards it. I could pull out the credit card, but that's just too easy 😂.

Anyway enough waffling from me

Have a good one crunchers 👍👍

Hmm wouldn’t it be difficult to tell the time upside down 🤔🤔🤔

Looks neat 👇

I’ve looked at Aussie watches and our choices are definitely limited. We can’t be the best at everything 🤣Adina does have a reasonably big catalog (just haven’t found anything that makes me itch), family history, creates local employment and training which is fantastic. By the time you save up, maybe Erebus will have another model?

Good looking watch, I’ll have to look them up. I honestly haven’t heard of the brand until now.

I've been tempted by Adina's amphibian vintage range, when I started in the railway because Adina is based in Brisbane the QLD Govt railway used Adina, all the wall clocks in barracks were Adina, long service watches I think are still Adina, I still received a watch when i signed up but by then they were a Casio F91W so you can understand them being on my radar and maybe either my 20yr long service or self purchase I'll end up with one 😁😂

You never know 👍

Go for it, I’ve got a country master it’s indestructible. Brisbane based Aussie owned business lets support them. They have a good spread of options & goid support, was looking at the Amphibian myself.

That's what I'm thinking as well. Support the Aussie company. Putting my first dollars away towards it. 👍

Only problem if Erebus come out with a field watch then I'm screwed as I'm not a fan of them 😂

Do like them just a bit pricey for me

As an Aussie, I'm surprised - genuinely - that I haven't come across the brand before. I like what I see on the site - decades upon decades of being in business, and the team is even represented on the site - https://www.adinawatches.com.au/our-craftspeople/ rather than a lot of smoke and mirrors, as you see with some brands that are just importing cheap watches that they haven't had much to do with, and which just have their name on them.

·

Thanks for the heads up on Second Hour they look really good.

You could always try Bausele? Swiss movements Australian made
