Do You Recommendations For Any Field watches

Heya there just here to ask if anybody has any recommendations for field watches. I was first tempted by titanium Lorus RXD425L8 and the closely related one that steal with tons of lume. However, I personally believe that scalpers are asking for a ridiculous price. I genuinely liked the overall simple and compact design. If you have any recommendations for a watch that looks similar. Or if you just have field watch recommendations for that matter.

Don't Loose Track of Time See ya!

I have the lumibrite Lorus and it is perfect, imo and the lume lasts all night. I also have a Carnival 1986 tritium field watch that I like a lot. The Carnival only has 3 atm wr or it would be perfect. Also recommend a Cooper Pathfinder, it's a military not a field watch but the style is similar

maybe some Casio or Citizen eco-drive could be great to. I saw only good comments about this lorus but at this low price it steals suspect for me.

Owning and wearing one for a year or so I can say it is very high quality so far. Very comfortable on the wrist, I have not one complaint about the Lorus. Idk how they sell them for so little but I'm not complaining. 😊

Yes I tend to be more confident about the quality of this lorus. About how they have very competitive price, I think they exploit poor chinese workers. This  is unfortunatly the only way.

I have a Seiko SNZG15. Extremely legible, and the lume is very bright.

Downsides:

Older caliber 7S36.

The case surface right between the lugs is not bead blasted like the rest of the case, probably as a cost cutting measure.

Known to have hand alignment issues -- the hands do NOT line up at 12:00.

RZE Resolute is a great option IMO. Full Titanium interesting modern case design, great fit and finish for such a young microbrand. You can get the watch with or without the full titanium bracelet too. Amazing AR!! I mean the best of all my watches.. and is Ultrahex coated for incredible scratch resistance.

I went through a field watch phase a couple of years ago and found a number of great options, and I have kept an eye on more recent releases. Here is a list of some good options that range in price from less than $100 to just over $200.

Vostok Komandirskie

Citizen Chandler BM8180-03E

Casio MTPS1201L

Seiko SNK809, SNZG15, SRPG37, or SRPH33 (there are lots of variants beyond these examples)

Bulova Hack

Timex Expedition Scout TW4B18600

Bertucci A2T or A2RA

Vaer S3 or C3

and finally, Islander #ISL-129 Day-T, or any of the Islander field watches (there are 8 variants)

I'm a beginer in watches and I tend to buy a majority of field military watches. Mayby because of the military heritage that create this apparence of reliability. And it is probably also because these are affordable (I student so...) 😅

I think Vaer is likely going to be the best "bang for buck" in the sub $200 price range, sapphire, 100m WR, screw down crown, two size options, and three dial variations.

If you're willing to go up in price the Marathon GQP is a contender, as it's a real military field watch, rather than a copy of a design from years ago.

·

I really Seiko’s SRPG line of field watches, and you can get them for around $220.

You can probably still pick up the one on the left for cheap on ebay, its a sports watch, but itl serve the same function and you'll have something that'll last a long time.

This lorus is a cracking watch

Check out the Alba AQPK401

Just About Time has a great showcase video on it.

Depends on the budget, Lorus - like the one you showed is great, seiko do some really great affordable ones too. If you have the budget, Hamilton make some of the best imo. Then there's cwc if you want that military tie in and there's honestly so many more to list.

How about the Timex expedition?

Not a bad watch! 🤔

No love for the Timex? 😢

·

I'm a bit late but SWC Ark might be in the running

·

Well my friend theres a lot of good field watches out there. That one is not a bad watch knowing that its a titanium now all depends you can look for another that would come close similar to that one. Or just wait on it and see I have about 2 field watches don't wanna over float my collection with just those. Just varies your style I think Swatch a field watch out there pretty decent. I know this post is old just let me know.

My good lady got me this lovely Bulova automatic for Christmas. They also do a similar quartz. I'm really pleased with it. It hacks and can be wound up or used automatic. The lume is pretty good. The strap is military green leather nato style. I'm going to see what it's like on some others.
