Current Collection so far (April 2024)

Hey there thank you for clicking onto my post!

I made a post about 2 years ago with my first watches I bought. A couple things have changed now since then I thought so why can't I do an update post as I have some models I didn't have before and some of the models I no longer have. So with out further or do I'll get this collection started. (Warning theirs a lot of Swatch)

#1 Q2 Swatch Skin Irony

Image

Some of you who have been following me for a long time know that I really do enjoy this watch, it's a Skin Irony made by Swatch! This watch was to coincide with the release of the film No Time To Die worn by you guessed it Q! Our favourite gadget man for the secret 00 Agent! I love everything from the leather strap thin body and the fact you can still see the gears is very Q esque! I love that it focuses on him not 007! Hopefully Swatch in the future does more things James Bond in the actual films!

#2 TIMEX Standard Snoopy Autumn

Image

Now I wanted this Timex model in particular for a very long time, waiting about a year and half until one day in my email I got a notification from Timex to order the Timex Autumn, I honestly don't think I bought a watch so quickly in my life so far! It wasn't on any deals unfortunately but it was still worth it for me! I love the simplicity and the fun that snoopy brings! Fall/Autumn is as well the best holiday in my opinion full of beautiful leaf colours!

#3 Swatch New Gent All That Blues

Image

This a pretty standard Swatch, I genuinely like it for similar reasons from the Q, having indexes instead of numbers and not not too mention you can the actual gears of the watch which I always loved how clean and simplistic the Swatch movements are, probably since they're quartz but none the less I still enjoy it.

#4 Swatch -Big Bold Neon To The Max

Image

It's big it's loud its neon! I love that this watch is injected with a lot of fun vibes, everything from the colour of the neon yellow green case to the massive orange biosourced plastic crown. In my recent posit I showed the Neon To The Max off and why I think sometimes I think it might be okay to wear an oversized watch once in a while.

#5 Armitron Rubik

Image

This is the Armitron Rubik, an 80s/90s inspired digital watch the is made completely (excluding the crystal and components) made of Stainless Steel. It is honestly my alternative to the Casio F91w and or the Casio A158! The buttons are more symmetrical and the fact it's completely stainless steel for some reason provides a more resilient feel! If you're in the market for a Casio that's not a Casio! This is the one I'd recommend!

#6 Skmei? - (I don't know what model)

Image

Now this one, I know is very...unique? I have gotten this watch as a birthday gift from a family member as they know I love watches and like looking into them, this one is actually an LED model that I've never seen done before. It still works like a regular LED where you press the button and the time lights up often in a digital number format. I say usually as this one is unique. The left hand side is what shows the hour. The right hand side is what shows the time in 5 minute intervals and than you have to add the middle section to exact time in minutes. The Yellow LED on-top turns on when it's PM. So for example in my photo I provided it's 9:44PM. Unfortunately I don't really wear this one too much as it's a bit more of a hastle to turn it on when looking at the time and to read the time at a glance.

#7 Casio CA53-W

Image

Now this is honestly one of my favourite models I just think is fun and really quite just chill to wear around when I'm not wanting to dress up or anything. Yes it's incredibly nerdy with the calculator function but yknow what? I'm kind of a nerd so it just doesn't bug me at all, and not too mention Marty McFly wore it in Back To The Future which is a fun talking point about your watch if they don't point out that it's a calculator on your wrist.

Well that's my entire watch collection so far. As you can tell I'm still a really big nerd and goof. I don't need to buy the most expensive or most luxurious watch to be happy. Heck often times I'm not trying to look at specs to a tee to see the best value. I just like to go with the flow honestly where if I like something and it makes me happy than why shouldn't I get it? It's not everyday you're gonna find a snoopy jumping in a pile of leaves on a watch.

I'd like to hear your honest opinion, was the collection meh or alright? I'd as well love to a list of the watches in your collection!

Thanks again for taking your time to read the post and the watches! It's very much appreciated!

It's funny you say this! I was looking at the Quartz Prx Chrono!

I appreciate when Crunchers share that Swatch has a wide and deep history in addition to the recent whimsical collabs.

BTW Swatch produced a whole series of Bond character watches back in the late 90's and early 2000's. I've collected quite a few though they're becoming harder to find.

The stainless steel Irony "Your Way" chronograph below is another of my Swatch favorites. Though the search for an OEM strap for it has been super challenging all the functions still work flawlessly and I'm eager to get it back into the rotation.

Hoping you keep us posted on how your evolves and thanks again for highlighting Swatch amongst your mix. IYKYK!

Oh I knew about the entire James Bond collab in the 00s and 90s I believe the 00's was the villain collection focusing on a watch for each well villain! And the 90s focused on each individual film! Man what Id do for Francisco Scaramanga, Elliott Carver or the world is not enough in the wild 😅

Ps that is a beautiful Swatch! I believe your local search store might be able to help us out to see what they can do!

The San Francisco Swatch Boutique was unable to help me with a replacement Irony strap so the search continues. I bought a cheapie rubber one that I don't like enough to wear plus the original strap came with a butterfly clasp that I'm hoping to reuse. Beware of vendors with inaccurate dimensions, I've had to return a few.

I hope you have good luck with the armitron. Mine is going strong after 40 years.

Not sure if this would help at all but the model looks to be YOS413! If you find any Swatch strap online on a website that sells Swatch straps, as long as it has code that starts with "AYO" it will fit on your watch! 😁
