How do you pronounce "Pelagos"?

I've heard all these variations in the last couple of days. It might be interesting to know where you're from in the world to see if there are (obvious) regional variations (I already have an hypothesis ;-))

I'm fairly certain that D is the only correct pronunciation.  I've seen it noted that it rhymes with the incorrect pronunciation "To-MAH-toes".

Depends which side of the pond your from 😉

·

Misclicked, but I pronounce it C.  Given that it's a Greek word for sea, I suspect D is the most correct way.

I don't really say it, but in my mind it is just the end of archipelagos.

·

I think it should be pronounced

PelA-juice 😂
