Ever heard of Bruno Söhnle?

Hi Chrunchers, today I have another question. Do you ever heard about the Brand Bruno Söhnle? They are part of Glashütte, but they offer more affordable prices. Like I already mentionent in my previous posts, I'm looking for Watches under 500 € and some of their model are in this category. I ask myself should I get a Tissot Prx, Gentleman (both the Quartz Versions) or a Bruno Söhnle? The Turin II watch from Bruno S. also has a Glass bottom and a decorated Quartz movement inside. What are youre thoughts about this? Thanks for your time and help.

I’ve got Bruno Söhnle on my watchlist and quite like their La Spezia line.

I think with Tissot you get a very mainstream brand with a great reputation (I have a couple of Tissot’s myself) but if you are looking for something that‘s a little bit different and something you are not likely to cross paths with then Bruno Söhnle is strongly worth considering.

I‘be been holding off buying one as I’m hoping they will release the La Spezia in an auto chrono and also have my eye on something from Mühle Glashüette.

To get a German built watch from Glashüette at the price point Bruno Söhnle offers is hard to go past though.

I say go for it!

I've never had one of those Bruno Söhnle watches in my hand; however, they look like decent quality watches.  @AussieWatchGuy mentioned Mühle Glashütte, a German brand which I am very familiar with.

Thank you, I had the Turin II on my wrist in a Watchshop of my city. Mühle is sadly to expensive for me.

Have you looked at the preowned options?  You may be able to get what you want on the preowned market.

Mühle is not really more expensive, it is just Mühle only makes mechanical watches (I think), Söhle started off only making quartzes, and still makes mostly quartz watches. These start at 325 Euros, but that would be a very basic looking Momento II. The mechanical watches from Bruno Söhnle cost just as much if not a little but more than Mühle's, and they start at 1295 Euros, Mühle start at 1000.

I’ve seen Bruno Söhnle online only, they look great. You ask a good question. With Tissot quartz, you will get a very well made, accurate and attractive watch. It’s a fairly common brand, whereas Bruno Söhnle is much less known. So, you won’t go wrong with Tissot, here’s mine below. It’s a perpetual calendar and in your price range. I replaced the band with a Barton perforated leather. Good luck with your choice!

Hi,well in my Opinion i would go for the PRX(Own one).

The Gentleman,is cool, but it does not have any superluminova,so the lume is really bad. If that's important  to you, then it's necessary to consider.

Talking about Bruno Söhnle:

Yes i know them, but i never handeld them in Person,so i can't say  anything about the quality.

They are simply not for me. I'm not a fan of the designs. But it's your dession.

It's from Glashütte,so it won't be bad.

Another collectable is the Sistem 51 from Swatch or if you can get one their old automatic collection, with the Eta2824s.

Also there is a Tissot Swissmatic or a Lelocle in this range, cool watch and automatic.

Wish you a nice day!😊

Thank you very much , I don´t think superluminova is important for me. I gonna take a look at your recommendations. Have a great Day too😀

I very much dislike the "BS" logo on their strap 😔 I

Sorry to be contrary and negative, but having had a look at their website, they look like a mall watch fashion brand to my eye. And their quartz mostly run €500 and up. Tissot is better known and respected, the PRX more refined, distinctive, and classy, and the quartz only costs $375 retail.

Altough I am thinking that it is very different from a Fashion Watch brand. The Movement is decorated and it also feels very good on wrist. A Fashion Watch mostly dont shows the Movement because it is worth 0.50€ or something like that. Here you can see what you are buying. And keep in Mind they are part of Glashütte. The Design of the Website is a Thing of Personal preferences . But Like I Said, its completly okay that you are thinking different

I'd take a look at Frederique Constant. They have lots of options on Jomashop that fall into your price range, and I think they're better looking than the Bruno Sohlne. Tissot isn't a bad option either, but personally I think Frederique Constant is a step above.

According to their website, one of their €500 watches has a Ronda 6003.D movement, and Google tells me that it can be had retail for around $25; they no doubt pay a lot less buying in volume. Tissot uses ETA F06.115, for around $30 retail. They are no doubt reliable Swiss movements, but neither are exactly high value propositions. Glashütte is just a town that happens to have a bunch of watch manufacturers; that they're located there doesn't mean that they're "part of" anything. That said, the prices aren't outlandish, so if you like the designs, by all means. I don't mean to rain on your parade, but since you asked, I think the Tissots have better designs, and are a better value.

Thank you for your time explaining me your thoughts. Like you see in my profile I am new into Watches. So your knowledge is literally better. Defenitly gonna keep your words in Mind. Hope you don't felt uncomfortable about this. Have a great day

Had the Tissot Prx on my wrist in a local shop today and need to agree afterwards. The model of Bruno and Söhnle is kinda boring if you are looking at it site by site to the Prx. Pretty high chance I gonna get me the Tissot for Christmas.
