Botta Design watches?

Hi Chrunchers, it's been a while since my last post. In the last days I was checking up the watch stores in my city and I found out about a interesting brand I never heard of before: Botta Design. It's a German watch brand, wich was founded in 1986 and takes a interesting approach to their watches. They want them to be very unique and not that serious. Sometimes you need more than one look to catch the time. I tried two models on my wrist an I was very surprised of their comfort.

Both had a titanium case and anti reflective sapphire crystal. The case and dial finishing was impressive. Their powered by Ronda quartz movements. But a grain of salt is the battery service. My local AD told me that this service is exclusively provided by Botta themselves. The reason for this is that the case back is sealed in a specific way. To open it you need a special tool which is very expensive. So that is something you should keep in mind. I definitely thinking of adding one to my collection. But what are your experiences with the brand? Would you recommend buying a Botta Design watch? I'm excited to read your comments, have a great day crunchers !

Botta was the first who designed one hander watches (after those historical at some church towers). His purpos was to make it look sporty like a speedometer of a racing car. They offer own and unique designs and good quality. They are located in Königstein near Frankfurt. They are definately worth to check.

Side note:

Meistersinger, or the founder of Meistersinger, was his distributor in the past. He later founded his own Brand Meistersinger in Cooperation with Botta by labeling his brand name and offering classical designs while Botta offered sporty designes.

More later Meistersinger get independend and made a much better marketing than Botta. That's why many people think that Meistersinger had invented the onehander.

I really like the way these look, and especially the white dial one on your arm. I think Long Island Watch sells these? If you have a local watchmaker, and he could open it up, that wouldn't be a concern. I have a lot of quartz watches and change what batteries I can, but there a few I have to take to the watchmaker. Now the dark dial is growing on me as well. Yes, those are seriously good looking watches.
