Tight or loose?

How do you guys wear your watches, more so your bracelets watches? I tend to wear them on the loose side unless it is a heavier dive watch which will tend to move around too much.

I don't like when a watch leaves an indention like this even though this doesn't feel too tight. I see some guys in here wearing watches that look like the hand will have to be amputated at the end of the day do to tightness. Lol. I myself would find that very uncomfortable.

Do you guys use the micro adjustments or just grin and bear?

I've retrofitted a couple of my bracelets with on-the-fly toolless microadjustments which has been a game changer in terms of getting the perfect fit throughout the day.

Where did you get the “on the fly” clasps at?

My wrist seems to change size almost daily, so this is a constant battle for me. On the fly microadjust is fantastic. But I keep a tool on my keychain to adjust clasps, and use it often. I also often have to change watches midday, because it has become too tight or too loose and the microadjust is inadequate. It's amazing how many watches are right in between too tight and too loose, straps or bracelets.

Just make sure you select the right size (18 or 20mm) for where the bracelet meets the clasp.

I wear mine in the tighter side. I do not like slippage and I don’t mind light indentations on my skin as it happens to me easily anyway.

·

I wear my bracelets in a draw and straps fairly loose. Comfort is king IMO.

·

I wear mine low and loose. But the looseness depends often on the time of day 😂

I agree with the on the fly adjustment! I have one watch with it and I’d really makes a difference.

·

Neither I wear mine Goldilocks - just right. Micro adjust. My Cartier Pasha Grille has a butterfly but the figment is actually bang on for me. My other bracelet watches all fall between and if it wasn’t for the micro adjustment I think it would drive me nuts

·

Dangggg now i know what that bone is called!!

·

I wear mine slightly loose...

·

I am on record as being of the opinion if you can’t read the caseback information imprinted on your wrist then the watch is too loose 🌈 it’s a good question though because if I had a sliding micro adjust I might loosen it up because it’s less hassle.

·

Loose.

·

Tight but not that tight.

·

Do the holidays count?

·

I strive for being able to put a finger between the bracelet and wrist. That can involve adding links, half links and using micro adjustments.

Gotta feel good.

·

Low and loose, this gives me room for expansion

·

you should be able to put 1 finger tightly under the bracelet.

·

Always tight - otherwise it looks sloppy and not classy no matter if field, dive, Flieger or dresswatch. A sloppy watch always indicates to me, that the person wearing it doesn’t know how to fit the bracelet right and mis-treats the watch 😂speaking very honest about it, it gives me the feeling that the owner is a douchebag if a watch wobbles around like a Jojo every time he moves his arm 😂

·

It depends on the size, for me anyway - with 34-37mm-ish a nice loose comfortable fit, I find this size tends to always look good no matter how they fall on my wrist, additionally this size seems to fit into the pocket of my wrist bone naturally kind of keeping in place

Anything bigger than like 38-40mm I prefer a tighter fit that is more likely to keep it in position, I think larger watches tend to not look as good if they fall out of position, they also tend to be heavier so I don't like them freely sliding around on my wrist

·

Tighter. Think alot of adjust on the fly clasps are overrated bc theyre too big.

·

I wear mine rather tight. I don't like my watches flopping around on my wrist.

I have one of these and I love it but I got mine off of AliX for $16.

That’s even better. Shipping to US might make the cost almost the same.

I tend to wear mine a little loosely. I don’t mind if they slip a little, even if they go past the bone. I can’t STAND it when a watch sticks to my wrist. I need to feel the air. My wrist swells/shrinks repeatedly throughout the day, so keeping it a little loose is best for me.

I agree with everyone who says on-the-fly micro adjust is the way to go. I’ve also found that lighter, thinner watches are way more comfortable even when tighter than I normally wear them.

·

After buying the Tudor 1926 I started to learn that not all watches have to be tight … lack of micro and halflinks makes me wear this watch loose.

·

Tight enough that I won’t feel it unless my wrist expands during the hot afternoon weather. But overall, loose enough when I’m in the cold areas.

Thought I'd seen a similar clasp on aliexpress for cheaper so I had a look. Ordered one for £15, I'll let you know if it's any good
