Favourite quotes on time and watches?

I was watching the film Beat The Devil, a weird little gem starring Humphrey Bogart, directed by John Huston, and scripted by a young Truman Capote. As you'd expect, Capote's fingerprints are all over the dialogue, including this brilliant little flourish from Peter Lorre:

"Time. Time. What is time? Swiss manufacture it. French hoard it. Italians squander it. Americans say it is money. Hindus say it does not exist. Do you know what I say? I say time is a crook."

I think my favourite quote that explicitly references watches comes from Martin Amis' novel The Information, a melancholy observation that I like and that often comes to mind while I'm trying to enjoy my watches as it reminds me that these beautiful, miraculous objects we cherish and wear are also mementos mori:

"Your watch knows exactly what time is doing to you: tsk, tsk, it says, every second of every day."

The late Martin Amis is pictured above, I don't think he was a watch guy particularly but points if anyone can identify what's on wrist in that shot.

Can't reference any quotes, but my bits were sufficiently chuffed when TAG Heuer was showcased several times in this movie:
