Worst watch company

Out of curiosity what is everyone’s least favorite watch company?

It's got to be gamages of London.

What a piece of cr*p

Timefactors, resurrector of the Smiths brand. Customer service seems to not even be an option.

·

Anything fashion brand

·

I'll second the idea that fashion brands are the worst. Not necessarily because of how they look or build quality, but because they tend to charge far too much for the quality they deliver.

Hublot makes watches that might not appeal to some people's tastes, but they are well made.

But, but…No middleman.

I’m going to rile some folks up and say Invicta.

But, but…No middleman.

Or quite possibly no watch dealer wants to be their AD, snickers . . .

Since the question is posed as the company and not the watch, and I know it’ll be both agreed with and disagreed, Rolex.  They may make fine watches.  They definitely make actually purchasing them a form of torture not seen since Zeus was sentencing people to Hades.

Invicta

Hublot

Panerai

Daniel wellington. lol

At least hublot only scams rich people, wile Daniel Wellington, Filippo loreti etc scam people that aren’t as fortunate

This poll elicits no interesting information. How many of you own a Hublot, Richard Mille, or Panerai? How many have seen or worn one?

It is easy to form opinions based on what you can see on the internet. For all that it is worth you might as well be in Plato’s cave. You are chasing shadows.

What is the worst that you have real world experience with?

I have to say that I love the Jacob & co twin turbo.

(yawn)

is anyone going to back up their arguments or this yet another witch-hunt?

another Hublot bashing thread (because the loud man said so), but paired with the lesser spotted Jacob&Co double-bill. Wow, at least I can add another mark towards my Jacob&Co badge… oh, wait, I can’t because (a) it’s not tagged, and (b) there isn’t one. Oh goody. I’m playing whack-a-mole with the mute button it seems, my feed is looking so dry.

Why do we bother? So we have a snide Hublot comment - tick. A Rolex bash - tick. Fashion brand - tick. I just need a post with a Seiko (or Grand Seiko), a SOTC, I have (insert value here) which watch should I buy? (the answer always seems to be Christopher Ward btw), and an arbitrary value prescribed as an entry point for this hobby, and we have WC Bingo!

I would like to think that as much as I like some of the videos that Marco does for Swiss Watch Gang, I think the current "gambling" wheel thing is antithetical to the beauty of fine things he has on his show. They/he have reduced this wonderful hobby into a seamy , classless scene with 90 percent of all watches I have never heard of. UGH,
