Your Most Quintessential Late 90’s Watch!

My Armitron Allsport hails from when the iMac still had a CRT, Honda was in its golden age, and watches had fitted to them ornately-linked integrated bracelets.

What better watch to demonstrate the late 90’s…which I bought at that time in history?

The nineties harbored many milestones for me: graduation from college, my marriage, buying my first house, and my divorce which consequently necessitated selling my house. Well…at least I still have this watch!

Show us your best example of your late 90’s watch!

Whoah, you a time machine boy?

That's 2090s surely? It's perfect in every way!

That's brilliant. Love it.

Much obliged, good sir!

Love the oddly specific 165 WR 😆.

Love the oddly specific 165 WR 😆.

That’s still a common trait of Armitron watches.

My first dive watch was an armitron from the early 90s. I still have it but it no longer works. Not at home or I’d include a picture. I was working at a dive shop when I got it so it was actually being used for that, though it was a cheapo. Even at around $50 it was a big spend for me at the time.

Yours is looking great 👍

Behold the hideousness. This might be early noughties rather than late 90s, but I think it still falls into that era of terrible amorphous design. For another noughties bonus, notice the button at 2 which operates the backlight. This watch saw me through secondary school. I really wish I’d just been given a Casio.

This watch would pair nicely with JNCOs (including 3’ wallet chain) and frosted tips!

I love this watch!👌👌👌👌

Reminds me of the Tag Link a bit

This may be the one and only place Armitron gets the love it's due. Thanks for sharing.

But it does give you a lot of good history and memories.

It is quite similar. I remember the Tag bracelets well.

I agree. Armitron’s such an endearing brand. Watchcrunch has been a welcome forum for my collection.

I picked this up around Y2K, but style is very 90’s

Does early 90s count? The OE strap left long ago, but the watch is still ticking.

Awesome Armitron. They had some great models in the 90s. Here is my Timex data link. “First smart watch.” Unfortunately, I do not have a CRT monitor to connect the data.

Swiss Army had a real hold at that time for sure.

Nice!…Eddie Bauer. Was it Timex that made the watch for them?

All you have to do is play Golden eye on the N64 to know that, right?

Damn! I had that same model! I synced it to my IBM PS1’s CRT! What a great watch! That’s when you were blazing if your computer had a DX266.

Such a beautiful F1!

I think this is the pinnacle of the F1 designs. When this watch came out, it was prominently featured in all of their print advertising front and center. To this day, I still think it’s the best looking watch I’ve ever that they produced bar none. I’ve literally had people stop me my whole life while I’m wearing this watch to find out what it was.

Good question. I tried to find info on it, but came up empty.

Definitely looks like indiglo.

Durable little watch. It's been in the ocean, lakes, pools. Two battery changes in 30 years. Not bad at all.
